Would it void the warranty of the old hard drive? Or the new console?I would assume taking the hard drive casing apart would void a warranty though.

Hey guys,
A few days ago, the 20GB Xbox 360 Pro that I've had for over three years broke (RRoD), so I needed to buy a new 360. I purchased a 4GB Xbox 360 Slim, thinking I'd just exchange the 4GB HDD for my old 20 GB one. I didn't know that the new 360 Slims aren't compatible with the older HDDs. I'm trying to not have to spend an extra $100 for the 250GB Slim (I don't need that much hard drive space). What are my other options?
I heard that you can plug a flash drive into your Xbox to use as storage space, but when I plugged in my 16GB flash drive the Xbox told me that I would experience a decrease in performance if I were to use it. Could I just keep most of my data on the flash drive and then transfer the data from certain games to the HDD when I play those games?
And how am I supposed to transfer all the data from my old 20GB hard drive so I can use it on the new console?
If anyone could help me with this problem I would appreciate it.
youtube.
MHC is the only achievement keeping my friend from 1000/1000.
My rep went up from my friends giving me good reviews. Not many people rate people anymore except for if they're being truly annoying or being racist.
well for one thing, rep doesn't really matter.
