Oh... I thought this was a revival of the CARTOON Mighty Ducks...

I got excited for a sec; that was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid.

I mean, they're the only 1st/2nd party PSX exclusives that didn't get sold out by their parent company (Crash and Spyro), screwed over by executive meddling (Ape Escape), or was simply abandoned after 3~4 games tops (Jax & Daxter, Sly Cooper).

@cylor: They actually did a skit on that with King Bowser and Doug Bowser during one of their directs last year. Was pretty funny to watch.

It's a decent controller for the price, especially for retro gaming on the Switch, if you don't care for using the Joycons.

@stunningham: It's even in games you don't expect to have it like the PSX Crash Bandicoot series.

This should be an instant 'no'.

I can confidently say that I got my money's worth with the Switch.

Still playing it regularly after getting it in Dec 2017. The Wii U in comparison got so little playtime...

@Xanitra: They've always been quick to bail on a project whenever they encounter even the slightest hiccup.

@nintendians: Yep. They also prey upon gambling addictions and by design, forces players to constantly log on in and grind 'daily/weekly missions' just to progress their accounts. They also rely heavily on 'energy gating' just to keep you from doing events in one day and waiting for refreshes and new events (which is great for ad revenue). Lastly. the power creep nature of Gacha games means you'll be constantly be subjected to all the above just to keep up. I'd say mobile games have very high turnover rates as a result.

I think most of the playtime is spent effectively doing in-game 'chores' than actually playing content.

Genuinely unique AAA mobile games that don't abuse more than one of these traits are extremely rare. But then, why not just make it a console game at that point?

Once people realize that most mobile games are in a perpetual clone war of pay2win traps and can find better casual gaming experiences on consoles/PC, the whole mobile gaming bubble will quickly burst.

@dragonsama:

Except this is par the course for Mario weirdness.

And... this isn't even remotely close to being Mario's most bizarre adventures.
