The only thing that I know for certain is that either I or berserk's mangaka will be dead before it's finished.

Damn it, it's been going for more than 26 years now with no end in sight.

I get a rather acceptable frame rate while in a mission, 25-40 fps, considering how old my PC is (core 2 quad q9550 and a gtx 560 ti) but for some reason, I get below 20 fps while in the ship.

@koopabros64: Yes, it is. They took their time between terminator movies and it's still milking. I brought a movie example so that it'd be more clear.

Don't get me wrong. I always like to see a new title for an IP that I enjoy, but keeping an IP alive forever is kind of a milking. I'm not complaining though. I'd gladly play a new fallout title, no matter how many they release, unless they mess it up completely.

"... because if we can milk any IP forever, then why would we stop?!"

EDIT: perhaps I should elaborate that I mean IPs and publishers in general. Also, it doesn't really matter how long the period between each game of the same IP is; it's still milking, although perhaps a light version of it.

With this and RE2 remake incoming, they only need to remake RE3 and remaster RE:CV for PC too and the collection will be complete.

What's their expertise? Releasing iterative, boring AC games every damn year?

Even far cry 4 was highly iterative, IMO. It never grabbed me. While I played and finished FC3 and (mostly) liked it, except for some really dumb story points, I didn't even bother with 4. My brother played it on my PC and that was enough for me.

Eddie, people criticize your writing for a reason. You call that a title?! Be a bit more professional.

I know that you are trying to get people to click the link, but titles like these are just pathetic. It's right there with crap spam ad titles like "Top 10 hottest moms in Hollywood", etc.

Maybe try something like "Remedy explains Quantum Break's long development cycle" or something else.

Some of the comments here are just pathetic. Just because you don't like the character and/or setting and/or the genre, that doesn't mean it's bad; it means it's not for you.

This game dose have its problems, but it's not "crap", "piece of shit", "terrible", etc. as some here are saying.

The characters and the story are a bit clichéd for sure, but those were kept to a minimum and even though I thought I had it all figured out, I was wrong. It's not on the same level as telltale games, but at least you can do more here than those.

There is no map, but it isn't that much of a problem, since the town is actually small and you can't get lost, unless you don't have any kind of sense of direction or path recognition.

There is no fast travel either, but again, the town is quite small and there are many collectibles along the way.

Some fault the combat system. They are called "executions" and there aren't that many of them anyway. They can be a bit annoying for sure but they are not punishing. If you mess up an execution, you can easily run away and hide with no problem, and then try again. After all, you're going up against demons.

They are a bit out of place but I don't think they ruin the game. They didn't for me. Actually, I found the successful execution of demons sort of satisfying by the time I got the hang of it.

Tonal shifts? In many ghost fantasy books, the ghosts poses animals and control them. Sure, the "meow" thing might be a bit dumb, but why count it as such a big minus?

Thoughts of the mental patients? Again, how could that take away from the game as a whole? Yes, actually there are some mental patients, in real life, who see things that aren't there.

A story driven game must have good body and face animations and the game doesn't disappoint in that regard. They are quite good where they matter, in cut scenes, and I was surprised by how nice the characters' faces looked in them. You can actually see their emotions in their faces. It's not LA Noire level, but still quite good.

The game's biggest issues:

1. After you reach the last part of the game; there is no turning back. You'd have to load a new game to collect the missing collectibles.

2. It doesn't have that much of a replay value, unless you REALLY loved the story and detective mechanics and/or really like doing side quests and collecting stuff.

3. About side quests; unfortunately they aren't that many; 3 or 4. I was a bit disappointed by that.

If you like story driven, detective games, then you'd probably like this game. At $20 or less, I don't see how it could be a bad buy at this point. It's not "Excellent" or "superb" or "fantastic" but it's much better than most of the disappointing games of the late that somehow received high scores from big reviewers.

Really?! REALLY?!!!! Some of you are actually saying paying 30$ for a demo is OK?!!

OK then; I hope they'll price MGS:PP at 150$, just for your pleasure; after all, it'd be at least 5 times of GZ, right?
