Then in last nights Oilers/Wild game, Ethan Moreau got cut with a skate just above his eye!

I wish the NHL would just make neck guards and visors madatory. I don't care if the players don't like them. They should be mandatory safety gear, like helmets. You don't see football players playing without facemasks because "they can't see as well with them."

[QUOTE="-ZeRoHouR-"][QUOTE="cell_dweller"]I was watching the game when that happened. Luckily it caught him on the right side of the neck, and not closer to the middle. Glad to hear he's ok though.Jaysonguy

Yeah, when it happened to the last guy (Clint Malarchuk,) it cut him in the middle of the neck and definitely more gruesome then this. Really glad he is alright.

Yeah, thankfully Zednik's jugular didn't get cut (like Malarchuk). It's good to hear he's in stable condition.

The carotid is more life threatening

If there wasn't massive pressure put in the spot of the injury he could have bled out before he got to the hospital.

Sorry, I should have specified that I meant in addition to the jugular. From the sounds of things, it was quite close to both being cut.

Definitely NHL 08. Best hockey game I've ever played.

FIFA 08 and NCAA Football 08 would be tied for second.

[QUOTE="Zero-Pirate"]Because EA has the exclusive rights to NCAA football.murlow12

No they don't. There are no exclusive rights to college sports. The NCAA refuses to sell exclusive rights.

While we don't know the definitive answer, it's likely b/c there isn't as big a market as there is for NFL. It's all about money, and I guess the market just isn't big enough for 2 games.

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6121995.html

The Collegiate Licensing Company sold the exclusive rights for NCAA football to EA. That includes all things associated with the schools, teams, and stadiums.

[QUOTE="Zero-Pirate"]

Murlow: I have a question for you.

What do you see as a better fan: A person who lives in the city a team is located, but only ever cares when they are winning?
Or a person who lives elsewhere, has been a fan for many years, and continues to do so through the good and the bad?

Personally, I would rather see someone that's a loyal, diehard fan, yet not from the same area, than a fair weather fan who is from the same city as the team.

murlow12

Neither one of them is a true fan.

I was just curious as to which one you see as better, not which one is a "true fan." Because according to your definition of a "true fan" I see a fair weather fan as closer to a true fan than a loyal fan who lives elsewhere. Whereas I think a fair weather fan should considered as far from a "true fan" as possible.
