To be honest, I've seen tons of hype BW2 threads. That's exactly why I picked the first one up for 10 bucks NEW, like you said. I haven't played it yet though. If I like it, then I might just go and pre-order BW2.

I agree. Sony has a great online service and it's free. Microsoft has an amazing online service and it's only $50 a year. There is no excuse except for their own laziness and cheapness.

Nintendo is the most stubborn and greediest gaming company by far. Not only are they overcharging for the their system (instead of selling at a loss like everyone else), they refuse to provide a decent online service, theyre-release their hardware and software tons times, and refuse to give gamers what they beg for like a hard drive for the Wii or DVD playback.

Although I love Nintendo for all the great games they develop/publish and all the amazing idea they bring to the industry, the company has me pulling out my hair do to their stubborness. This is in part why I refuse to buy only Nintendo products from now on. I've owned every Sony system thus far and plan to pick up the PS3 when the 80GB version releases. Nintendo's attempt to provide a comprehensive online service and experience for hardcore gamers is laughable.

And I bet all of you defending Nintendo's online have never played online with the 360, PS3, or even the PSP. If you had you'd realize how horrible of a job Nintendo is doing.

Rocky32189

Now, I can totally go with Nintendo being stubborn beyond belief. It took them this long to implement ANY online, and I agree that this online is lackluster to say the least. Sony's is the much better free service, and the 360's is awesome for only 50 bucks. I can go with Nintendo being lazy when it comes to it, even if it is thier first foray, in the home consoles market, into the "online world." But, maybe it was the way you phrased it, but I almost laughed when you said they are the greediest gaming company. First of all, games is all they have, while MS and Sony can rely on thier other divisions to pull them through if they take a gigantic loss. But, further more, it's like you think MS and Sony priced thier consoles to be nice to the consumer. Yea right, they priced it at the highest point they could possibly think, and see if the public thought it was worth it. Sony screwed up, and that's why they lowered the price...for a little while anyhow.

When it comes down to it, all three of them are out to make as much money as possible, and just because Nintendo isn't taking a loss on each console it's selling, doesn't mean they are greedy. It simple tells us all that they know how much we are willing to pay for the Wii, which happens to be more than what they cost. Most people in the buisness world would call that "good buisness."

I would take any bet to say the at heart, Sony and MS would LOVE to be selling a system they would be making profit on each one they sold.

But, back to topic, Nintendo has a long way to go to get thier online up to snuff, even for a free one. And by the way, for all the people who seem to think that people who don't like FC's, is because they are not smart enough to handle them...really needs to expirence something called "convenience."

I believe that where you are, there is a merchant right through the next door or two. You don't need it for any particular reason, so I would recommend trying to clear enough space so you can sell it for a quick 15k ;).

I named mine T-bone. Odd, but there is a story behind it. It was when Nintendo announced that their console was going to be revolutionary, but hadn't told everyone why. My bro, a friend, and myself all got on the subject on the Wii. We started to joke about what the feature would be. Then it came up that the gaming public would have to feed the next Nintendo console. So, then we joked about feeding it T-bone steak to keep the console happy, or else it wound't have enough power to play your games.

Yea, rather juvinile and still odd even AFTER I told you the story, but we were all laughing rather hard at the time because of it. It might be one of those "you had to be there" stories, but when I found out you could name the Wii, I instantly thought that had to be the name.

Not really. My GS doesn't have them for longer than 15 mins. most of them time. I have never seen one in any other place like Wal-mart or Target. But I got mine on launch, so it's not like I'm keeping a real good track of who has them.

I have six games pre-ordered for the Wii now. And just to clear my name now, I do have a job and I'm earning good money as well. Might as well say it before I get rolled into the spoiled brat category too :) I think these games will be enough to keep me busy for this year though...give or take 1 or 2...maybe.

I hadn't played any of the RE titles before I played RE4 and didn't find myself lost because of it once. There might be a *couple* of things that you'd have a deeper understanding of, because I've played the others recently. But, for the most part, it's a completely new story that as of yet, doesn't continue the story. If you really want to know the story, there is a rather lengthy, plot summary of RE on GameFaqs. The biggest in size. It cuts off right when RE4 starts, and excludes one game that might add a bit to the plot. But that will save you money.

MP3 will probably be fairly fresh. You don't really need to see the ending to know what's going on in the third one, or at least I'm assuming. I would play them, because they are excellent games, and I'm going to run through both right before they come out. But, I've played through them each quite a few, and I can get through both in under 20 hrs, both 100%. So about 10 hrs per game, and I'll be done. Okay...I've played them too much. But, nonetheless, I wouldn't play MP1 and MP2 to "understand" the third one, I would play it to have a good time with 2 great games.

I'm fairly sure that when I pre-ordered Trauma Center: New Blood today, Gamestop had it listed 11/13. Day after SMG. I'm getting both...but if it really comes out then...good luck to Atlus.

The is thread is great. I'm hoping it gets stickied, or at least stays on the first page.
