I just upgraded from two 8800GT's (Sli) to a Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 X2 2GB and I'm actually loving this card.
I wrote a review on newegg.com, look for "Xerran", as of now its the 4th post down or if your too lazy check below.
Pros: I play tested the games listed below at a native resolution of 1680x1050 with all the graphical settings maxed out and got absolutely great frames, the only exception was "Crysis" which I had to set to HIGH.
Play tested (DX10/10.1 & x64 where possible) -->>
Assassins Creed, Burnout Paradise, Company of Heroes, Crysis, Crysis: Warhead, Dawn of War 2, Devil May Cry 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Team Fortress 2, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X (DX10.1 demo) and Unreal Tournament 3.
Intelligent power management.
Good temps at idle and load.
Acceptable fan noise at default setting.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased and love this card in Vista x64 and Ubuntu 8.10 x64, the card installed in both installations without any hiccups. Ubuntu 8.10 x64 offered drivers ready to install upon first booting of the OS and they work great.
Cons: No waterblocks available for this card, only rumors on forums.
Fans are ridiculously loud at manual high settings.
