This something totally different then crysis and dead space 3 not making it over. If EA is throwing money out the window from port jobs like sports games, then they must really be salty about something with Nintendo if the origin thing isn't true.

[QUOTE="Pikminmaniac"]wait.... So how will this work on the other two systems?FlamesOfGrey
They'll cut out the Wii-U content most likely or revamp it somehow. Wi-U will still probably have the best version if not the most unique version.

Hopefully this. the touch screen sections aren't that great anyway. If the demo is anything to go by.

pretty dissapointed they delayed the wii-u version. hopefully this makes it a better game.

btw nintendo you should probably see if you can push up pikmin 3 or the wonderful 101. Because btw you only have 1 game with a solid release date, and its a ''enhanced port of a wii game''.

Could the wii u's first year really be worse then the wii's 2011?

[QUOTE="StrongBlackVine"]

[QUOTE="QuebecNationale"]Well, it looks like i'm not going to buy this game. At least my wallet will sleep a bit easier. It's actually amazing how EA has managed to ruin so many franchises in the past 5 or so years.QuebecNationale

Your loss if actually wanted the game before this. Game isn't ruined because of optional weapons packs that you can still find yourself.

No, the game is ruined because of several reasons but the micro transactions are a fraction of the reason as to why the Dead Space franchise is ruined. This micro transaction scheme is a disgrace to gaming, and people shouldn't be supporting this. If you buy this game then you're supporting the nickle and diming of customers and telling EA that it's okay to include micro transactions in games(It's not okay FYI). This is nothing more than a cash grab by major corporations, and anyone who doesn't want this trend to continue shouldn't buy any of EA's games.

Why do you care what other people spend their money on for video games? I can understand the argument people are making if they deliberately make it a grind to get these upgrades, to try to get people to use the Microtransaction option, but if nothing about the actual game is affected why does it really matter?

In a statment of why these microtransactions were introduced Viscerals John Calhoun stated.

"Theres a lot of players out there, especially players coming from mobile games, who are accustomed to micro-transactions. Theyre like I need this now, I want this now. They need instant gratification. So we included that option in order to attract those players, so that if theyre 5000 Tungsten short of this upgrade, they can have it."

So aperantly the reason that we have to pay for these microtransactions is because of these mobile gamers:roll:

You can't get these from anything else in the game? I ask because I've never played Dead Space. If they're optional why does this matter?
