The majority of homophobia in the last article was coming from Ryouga001 pretending like his moral values were being violated because he isn't warned about homosexual content in absolutely every piece of media that might even hint at its existence. Think of his precious children.

@Ryouga001 I never claimed that homosexuals should be depicted only because they merely exist. I said their mere existence shouldn't warrant a warning. Completely different, and you knew that. But you purposely misinterpreted that. You did it purposely because it would allow you to insert your prejudice of equating homosexuality to violence without overtly labeling yourself a bigot. You were just dying to spread that hateful intolerance, but you knew you needed to do it under the veil of something else. It's just pathetic.

You weren't including examples of MORE overtly violent acts, you were including examples OF violent acts to that of which is not violent at all! It's not a matter of level of severity! No. No, no no. YOU are the one misunderstanding the root of the disagreement. Your beliefs are old and outdated. We now live in times where there is no warrant to forewarn about the existence of homosexuality. An existence you DON'T even need to explore! You don't need to acknowledge it personally, it's not shoved in your face. It's not like you're forced to carry on a gay relationship in the game. You made the logical fallacy of comparing exposure of abhorrent harmful acts to the simple acknowledgment that homosexuality exists. I was criticizing your comparison, not you personally. Carolyn Petit is a transgendered Gamespot editor. Me feeling justified in letting games violate your "morals" has nothing to do with valuing mine more. What you're expecting is just ridiculous. Following your logic anyone could feel extra offended about particular things and demand warning before being exposed to it. It's like saying "I like guns and explosions and killing in my video games, but I find rocket launchers morally disturbing and I think games should warn me if this particular content is in their media, even if it's entirely optional and I don't have to use it." What about heterosexuals and their behavior? Should we warn specifically about that too? What if I morally object to the depiction of black people? Should media warn racists before exposing them to content involving black people?

I for one am glad homosexuality is becoming more norm in our media. The mere acknowledgment of their existence shouldn't come with a warning label. If some people get freaked out at such a thing, I feel no shame in pushing them out of their draconian censorship issues.
@Ryouga001 The point of this article is that this form of media is going where media doesn't usually go. Media is saturated with sexual content. Heterosexual content. Pinholed and stereotyped men and women. Society isn't like the media portrays it, and it should be encouraged that we have realistic portrayals of homosexuals. If you don't want to your kids exposed to that, go ahead and shelter them. As rat-fish pointed out, this game isn't intended for kids anyway. If you decide to have your children view material suited for a more mature demographic, you can't complain about its content. Whether it was the violence or sexuality that warranted that rating is completely irrelevant. It's not for kids. Period. If you want your kids to play it, you need to be cautious of all the material in it.
@Ryouga001 I agree, it's ludicrous that you should have to ever explain things to your kids. You should be able to plant them in front of video games like it's a babysitter and not have to worry about it conveying anything to them other than explosions and violence are fun.
