Yeah, there's quite a long story about that one.  I'll pm you a link where the change was decided.  Let's just say my previous icon was giving off too many....er...."wrong signals".  So I figured I'd pick a guy who's biceps are larger than the rest of his body.

Still, this topic is actually unrelated to my re-emerging.  I just figured it was about time I actually started contributing to some degree, instead of just sitting there reading things from afar.  After all, I do actually enjoy (some) Sonic games.

I think we fail to recognize that pretty much (not entirely sure so correct me if I'm wrong) every character excluding Sonic was introduced at some point.  I think adding characters is different than adding annoying characters who have no value.  Nobody complains about Tails and Knuckles, and I can understand why they're considered "originals" but you have to understand it isn't the fact that they're adding characters.  It's that they're adding characters who suck.  Let's face it, some added characters were enjoyed (to some degree) and others failed miserably (need I even mention any?).  I think instead of focusing on "not adding characters" they should be focused on "developing" characters.  Which can either mean evolving an already existing character, or introducing a relevant (and logical) addition to the series.  Think about it, LucasArts spits out a new character from their *** every two minutes.  Some of them are welcome additions (Kyle Katarn) while others are not (Rosh Penin).  Heh...now I actually want to play JA again just to kill Rosh.

Maybe I must have missed a post, but I'm surprised noone mentioned my favorite (and by favorite I mean LEAST favorite) boss.  Y'know?  The one that required the Power of Teamwork?  Seriously, my first "modern" Sonic game and I pick the one that is impossible to beat, not to mention retarded in its dialogue.  I'm just glad I ignored that and kept playing "modern" sonic games.

In its defense, I never actually played that boss because the PS2 version is too **** hard.  Sonicphc just showed me the wonderful cutscene which has been imprinted in all of our heads (don't deny it, I KNOW you rewatch it 10 times over every night ;)  )

Now, I have to disagree with the Ix battle.  See, I don't really consider that part a "Battle".  Think of it more in terms of RE5 in which you fight a final boss (albeit 4000000000 times....stupid Capcom making thousands of annoying boss forms) and then afterwords you have the reaction command ending.  It wasn't really a fight, just sort of a "Hey have fun using those things we taught you to master one last time".  I mean lets face it, by that point you've pretty much memorized every move in the **** game (there aren't too many there) so you know exactly what sequences to press.  That was the only one of those "reaction commands" that I actually had to put some effort into them.  I mean, that game was pretty easy for me, sure I missed a few of the first reaction commands, but they never really designed any that were actually difficult.  (I'll admit I'm just an RPG fanatic, so weigh that in consideration).

I also hated the Sonic Rush final boss just because I Game Over'd 70 ******* times (I had no idea what you were supposed to do with the electric things, until I finally decided to stop running from them, and stayed in the middle).  The ending was rather corny as well, but I've decided to give up on "good" Sonic endings, just because they aren't that kind of game.

Kbaily wins 100 respect points for mentioning Chrono Trigger btw.  The DS adaptation is really well done, just because they fixed some obvious translation errors, and added in some aspect of multiplayer.  Of course, MY favorite element of it was that they finally gave Magus a cool ending (with the added in "13th" ending with a creature even stronger than Lavos [and BOY was he fun]).

Hehe PHC, when you talked about this thread I only imagined how entertaining it was.  The fact that I actually know what it is makes me full of rediculous amounts of schadenfraude.  I tip my hat off to you PHC, you have suceeded in torturing an entire group of people far better than I could hope to ;)

But talking about cookies, I think I deserve some.  In fact, we all deserve cookies!  Cookies for everyone!  Let's celebrate!  Everyone will enjoy it....unless you don't like cookies.  In that case, NO cookies for anyone, that way, people who don't like cookies will have something to celebrate!

Well it's certainly conceivable, as long as people post on a thread, it wont die (assuming they're on topic, but yeah).  I'd kind of like to see a new one start just simply because I "threw in the towel" a little early.  And to be honest I've been dying to start out fresh with some new characters.  But still, it can definately continue. =)

So you too have had some of the weird GS errors. Had some saying HTML was not well formed when there wasn't anything but plain text. At least I know it isn't just my PC.

I am not saying it was exactly terrible, if you were involved. None of my cahracters really had much of a chance to get involved. Everything was about you and sonichomeboy's sub-plots. Leaving a straggler like Charles to ride in the back of the bus (so to speak) and wasn't enjoyable. If the plot was less contrained and didn't have such a singular focus, it could have been better (though mine still would blow it out of the water ;) ).

One more thing Val, be glad I am a nice and easy going guy. I could easily turn you in for your insults. I know phc won't do anything (though he probably should, since it is obvious flaming, especially considering the members involved (though he most likley would have a problem if if was the other way around). Don't insult me again, it is quite uncalled for at the moment (and just because my ass isn't all muscle, doesn't mean it's mopey {and how would you know its appearence, unless you have been looking at it :o...... you must be a spy or have one heck of a telescope}), and will not be tolerated again.

I really actually don't care if you report me.  You can ask phc and he'll say that before I even posted that it was entirely for the purpose of BEING reported.  At this moment, Gamespot offers nothing to me that really interests me anymore.  The only reason I got this account was to keep in touch with phc.  Now that chaos sector is online, I don't really need GS anymore.  Frankly, it'll save me a lot of hassle because I'm getting very tired of having to put "

And actually, I will mention a few times you could have contributed:

1) If you will recall, I had a moment where everyone was supposed to receive some sort of vision from those crystals.  I even said the entire attempt was so that other people could get some developing done.

2) In regards to that moment with the fight.  That was actually something much more complex if you weren't paying attention.  It wasn't just simply: "OMG THAT GUY JUST CAME AND WANTS TO FIGHT US ZORS LOL!!!"  It was a PvP action which had relevance to what the character was trying to accomplish.

As for Garrithos, the DL and others, they were all just another person who randomnly came to fight.  There wasn't any story driven element to them, it was just someone else to fight.  

I apologize if I in some way implied that being a friend with s0 was in any way bad, as that was not my intent.  I don't find anything wrong with people having friendships, I'm solely commenting on the RP.

As for the mopey ass comment, I think you're missing the actual intent of that.  The whole purpose of that (and the flame post) was in response to how sick and tired I'm getting of people being SO overdramatic about how terrible these RP's are.  Frankly, if they're that bad, DON'T POST.  It's rather simple actually.  Instead of being a whiney brat about how things aren't going your way, just LEAVE!

Lastly, don't even try to speak in such a way of "It will not be tolerated again".  Firstly, I acknowledged that the flame post was simply to goad s0 on.  But secondly, YOU are no one to make such a declaration.  If you want to report it, report it and let the moderators do their job.  Otherwise, know your place.

Still, this is obviously getting nowhere.  For all intents and purposes it's safe to assume that this RP has ended.  So instead of whining about it, just either wait for another one to start, or go somewhere else.

Just as clarification, if I implied that I gave up on the plotline, then I apologize, as I have mislead you.  I really did have a lot of college work and whatnot, and I just simply couldn't find the time.  Now, of course, that my block class is finished, I have a plethora of it.

I would just like to say, that if you need cooperation with getting something done, you really haven't given much indication as to what that cooperation IS.  All I've gathered is that you brought back that Dragonlord, and are now in another random conflict irrelevant to the story.  I fail to see how this in any way was an attempt to develop the story.  But who knows, I could be wrong, and I openly acknowledge that.  I'm just saying that I wouldn't know how to show "cooperation" if I were sonicphc at all.  I mean, the only thing you've really given him room to do was jump in and fight the Dragonlord, can you see how that gets nowhere?  Just give him something to go with, and he'll respond accordingly.  Just having random fights isn't going to encourage any sort of participation.

Now I will reiterate what I mentioned before, if you can't contribute, just leave.  Don't come dragging your mopey asses over here complaining about how terrible it is.  There are plenty of times both you and s0 could have added something, but instead you just threw in another battle.
