@shalomanoray: Oblivion is more about the exploration and role playing. Diablo is all about the loot. Players would spend countless hours accomplishing in-game achievements to earn rare cosmetics. Will there still be cool cosmetics to unlock in-game for free? I don't know. But now you can undercut half the point of building up your characters and just pay to make them look cool. I don't get it.
That's a lot of words just to say they bit off more than they could chew, and now it's too late into the game's lifespan that they won't get a good return on their investment if they release PvE because the player base has significantly dwindled. They must have determined they would make more profit by selling battle passes and skins to the whales at this point.
They decided to reel everyone along with false promises about the PvE release, while they quietly dismantled it and used it in some of the recent PvP modes. They knew it wasn't coming out, and they straight up lied about it.
I almost have to give them credit for the way they ducked and dodged every question thrown at them and tried to spin this as a win for the players. I wished they put that much effort into this game during the past 4 years.
That too long, IMO. At 320 hours per year, I would be burned out and not able to finish the passes. There's nothing worse than paying for the opportunity to get rewards and then not getting them.
1. Reviews for this say it's OK at best 2. People have superhero fatigue 3. Tickets are expensive 4. People are willing to wait and stream at home later 5. DC has a bad track record 6. DC have already said none of these movies are canon going forward
Uh, what's with all the people getting angry that the game isn't getting the reviews it "deserves" even though these same people haven't played the game yet?

My first experience with a battle pass was Apex. I had fun, and I grinded them out. Then more and more of these types of games came out, and one day I wanted to play a single-player game, but first I had to grind on 3 different games so I didn't miss out on the events. I didn't even feel like playing those games...I just didn't want to miss out. That's when I realized there's just too many of these types of games and it became a part-time job to keep up with them. I don't even look at them anymore.
A $20 battle pass for a $70 single player/Co-op game? After everything Blizzard has done, from the sexual assaults, to the terrible Diablo 2 launch and taking forever to fix anything, to Diablo Immortal, to the Overwatch 2 fiasco...I just don't care about them anymore. I have no faith this game will be good because their number 1 priority is shaking down their loyal fanbase for as much money as possible.
@hardwenzen: There was already an article here a month ago or so, that said Phil Spencer wants to raise game pass prices after the holidays. So it's coming.
I've never been a fan of PvP in Souls games only because it's always laggy. Sometimes I dodge and then a second later I take a chunk of damage because the game said I didn't dodge, or sometimes players teleport, or sometimes I get backstabbed from a guy standing 15 feet in front of me. I love it as a single-player game or a co-op game where the technical stuff doesn't matter, but I always feel like I'm fighting my opponent AND the game when I'm trying to fight other players.
