I will always support Sony because I trust Sony. They are the most reliable maker of electronics in the world. While I wish the PS3 had backwards compatability its not an issue for me; I've till got my PS2.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 40g phat model? It sounds likeyou have a bad laser. My old 40g got 2; one under warranty and the second one was not. Apparently it was a problem endemic with that particular model of 40g. Sony wants 150 out of warranty to fix it and then its likely to happen again. For that price youre better off buying a new machine.
For the last 4 days Gamespot, and Gamespot alone, has appeared to me as an all white screen with all the text left aligned and MOST of the images and ALL of the videos appearing as a small red 'X'.
I just killed him for the first time today. I'm at soul level 21 and I'm using a +5 mace and he still gave me lots of trouble, if that tells you anything.
