@pmanden: 3 years? 2020 release or bust. You don't start announcing specs for your next gen 3 years in advance and kill off any purchases of your current gen for that time. I don't think it'll be this year, but I'd bet big money on next.
@Spartan_418: I'll bet you could run Minecraft at 4k 60fps with current gen. What darkelf83 was saying is that developers have chosen to push more graphics and larger, more detailed environments over running at 60fps. It doesn't matter how powerful the hardware is, if developers go for visual fidelity over performance then you won't get 60fps.
@barcaazul: I was thrown off by the character lacking a voice or personality. I'd rather he had a voice that wasn't mine than just shook his head at people like a weirdo.
@jagdedge124: You know they have completely different control schemes right? Where you can use a press of the left thumbstick to perma sprint rather than having to press X. Spend a little time playing with the control scheme in the menus and you can have a pretty good setup. It's a shame that the default scheme wasn't better, but there is no reason you can't fix it yourself. Quick tip: If you do the thumbstick to sprint thing pressing it twice makes you go slightly faster.
I wish they would come out with the numbers and say how many people purchased previous games and didn't touch the campaign. Or how many played less than a couple hours of it and never completed it. My money is on the majority of people who bought the game barely even touching single player. People who say they pay $60 for just the 8-hour CoD campaign are, frankly, overpaying IMO.
I get it that the developers for Juarez probably don't have near enough budget to compare with what R* has thrown at RDR2. However, you probably shouldn't call out a game that looks (so far) absolutely stunning with your really bad LOD panoramas. You invite a direct comparison, and are clearly the turd.
Is the RemotePlay feature for PS4 that bad that it doesn't get mentioned? All this news about MS finally catching up has people forgetting you can remote play from a Playstation on a laptop, Vita, android etc already.
Also, I heard they are talking about cloud gaming for the next generation. I seriously hope not. The majority of the North American market, at a minimum, is not ready for it infrastructure wise. Cable providers are crap just about everywhere, and speeds don't reach those needed for that solution to work. Please... just don't.
Gamespot, can we at least have a site filter to remove all the Fortnite content? Believe it or not there are other games, and some of us that don't play Fortnite. I've been a fan of Gamespot for a while, but lately find myself going other places because of the overabundance of "news" about one game.
@Dark_Matters: But it improves some stuff and things. I thought that was clear. I wish we could downvote stories so nobody else wastes a whole minute (plus ad) watching this video. The type of "reporting" that makes me want to go to another site.
