I dont mean this with any disrespect to the series (FFTA) but imo.. its not very compare a story that is on par with incredibly detailed war matters involving conspericy and betryal along with manipulation and ambition wich FFT applies to itself and a game that has a story that is about as comprehensive as a animated disney movie.

Of course it can still be endearing but the fact remains and its been said that FFTA is primarily targeted to a younger audience, i have about 110 hours on my original ffta game soley cause the gameplay is fun and its very addictive, but i simply cant give its story that same amount of credit. I will buy A2 simply because the game fundementals are top qualtiy nothing more.

Ya its not that hard..i have an old psp for that reason alone... i carry ff7 8 and vagrant story along with ff5 and BoF4 on mine currently... i have a psp slim for everything new talking about it on here can get the forum topic banned by Gamespot so we should sease talking about hombrewing on the psp lol

Its quite evident that you favor the classics over the newer titles.. im not sure if thats some attempt to come off as some kind of "true" ff fan or whatever, but i can assure that most of us here have played them just as much, and if are going to attack any title for implementing change, like your example of 10 throwing out the overworld map as some kind of failure than u are sol when new rpgs come out, cause its not going ot go back teh way it was ever... now that sakaguchi is gone, so deal with it and if u cant, then start playing mystwalker games (wich is a good thing)

This is rediculous... and for the record plz stop mass quoting we know what the previous posts state.

You are disecting ff12 FAR to much.... 12s system was perfectly fine, many argue that the gambits played too much of an uncontroled part, wich is hardly the case when the harder intese fights start occuring..

Now... on teh other hand, i personaly think that ff12s story was far from engaging and follows the same formula that most ff games base there story around, along with alot of obsolete events, characters and information that the game could have done without for example al-cid, cid, the judges, recks, fran and her "mysterious" ability, Balthier being a "judge" in the past, and rozzalia.

When the game got to its end, all that didnt matter, ashe was as cliche as most heroines, and vayne was just like the rest, seeking a power beyond the normal world to rule everything, there was very little politics in the game, especially compared to powerfukl political story found in the original ff tactics.

And cant disagree more with the fact that ff9 is the greatest 3d final fantasy, lol how? with its simplistic character design that renders 75% of the playable cast of characters obsolete in the end? its story, that isnt much different or inovative as others? dont get me wrong, i enjoyed 9 a great deal, the characters were unique and entertaing, and it had a great ost, and of course it was graphicaly appealing (but that doesnt count). 7, 8, 10 and 12 offer complete character customization and flexabilty whereas 9 restricts u to particular characters if u want a certain ability, for the exception of the equipable skills learned from accesories.... and the trance system alone was lackluster as well.

10 was on par with 8? lol how so? are u against anything that offers flexability? I cant think of any similarities that those games share.. and if ur argument is based on lack of equipment or wichever, then that is an incredibly weak claim indeed.

So in your opinion, every character has to have there own indevidual set of abilites, with 6 different slots for equiopment and no character customization option? final fantasy 1-4 were exceptions simply because of the times. 5-6 were showing improvement to character options wich then evolved into 7 and 8, ff9 simply brought it back to its roots, and for some thats good, but it was far too easy compared to final fantasy 4-6 and left the player with little options.

and stop bashing 8 simply because u dont like it, even if the drawing system was tedious.

The series has done nothing for me.

Primarily because the games in general feel like there targeted to the youthfull audience, wich makes it very difficult for me to get into especially when u have to have others to play with most of the time to get the most out of the games and at 23 years old i have no interest nor do any of my freinds have any interest in "getting together" to play these elementry school games

I'm currently playing CT for the second time (plan on grabbing chrono cross off ebay so i can finally play the sequel as well as Radical Dreamers wich i downloaded a couple days ago) and love the time traveling aspects of seeing your tampering with the past affecting the future for better or worse. Hope Chrono Cross is just as good. Can anyone give me a overview without spoiling it?MiracleMir
Chrono cross will sit in u for all time.. The soundtrack is so amazing i cant explain with words, the story is incredible and dispite what a lot of CT fans say, u need to understand that it was the directors choice to not make chrono cross a "direct" sequel, rather its a different expereince with "links" wich make it all the more engaging even for thos who played it b4 CT. The visual presentation is top notch for ps1. The game aslo has a pretty decent replay value, if ur some one who lieks to opbtain everything the game has to offer, unless ur standards are way off, u will most likley find great value with that title. Its still to this day regarded as one of the better rpgs of its time and over all.

To me FFVII had the best graphics even better than FFXII! I just love its classic look. Also FFVII is the best Final Fantasy game ever made anyone can tell you that!!! :D Course I Am the Biggest FFVII Fan you can find go ahead ask me any question! 8)xXLostCaptainXx
That is very unfortunate for u... let me help u rephrase that. " also FFVII is MY favorite final fantasy game, and that has nothing to do with this thread, and im just trying to let it be known, dispite most strong ff gamers who play and respect all of them proabably know just about as much on ff7 if not more than i do, but it doesnt matter cause i have a cloud strife forum avatar from AC"

With no disrespect really, you are not the only one.. plenty of us here have delved deep into ff7s nooks and cranies, i sure have, back in 1997-98. But none of us gloat about ff7.. its final fantasy nothing more, nothing less...

ok then.. although this is the internet and anyone can just search online reletivley quick... but i trust youl know the answer to this regardless, its an easy one..... how does one obtain the "usable" masamune blade wepon for cloud? or.. wich particlurly farmable monsters morph into all the neccesary items to max all the players stats?

anyways, i dont have standards for graphics when it comes to video games or at least rpgs that is, i have recently replayed crono trigger and ff 8 and i play ff 5 on my psp when im on the go, so graphics have no say in the matter, this question imo is unfair to ask because graphics are constantly evolving so its difficult to answer.

Is anyone else having issues with this feature.

i keep getting a 86420 error code, and when i disconect my router and plug directly in there is a huge input delay almost everytime when im playing a match.. i have no problems shoping on the wii shop channel and its not my wifi conector cause i play on my ds all time time online.

i have no option within my computer to adjust my router setting or anything like that so i dont know how to fallow the steps that the online support site explain.. can anyone give me a hand on this?
