Both were released about a year apart and are huge RPG fan favorites but which is better in your opinion.

Hmmm, Chrono trigger, probably. It was such a unique experience for it's time, and it has such replayability!

deep down in my gut im going to have to go with ff6, simpy for its faster paced gameplay, superior soundtrack and enjoyable cast of characters.

but CT is still one of my favorites

I'm currently playing CT for the second time (plan on grabbing chrono cross off ebay so i can finally play the sequel as well as Radical Dreamers wich i downloaded a couple days ago) and love the time traveling aspects of seeing your tampering with the past affecting the future for better or worse. Hope Chrono Cross is just as good. Can anyone give me a overview without spoiling it?

You'll love Chrono Cross!!! That's one of my favorite games for the PS1. You'll never get tired of that game and it has so many characters to use. The storyline has non-stop action and lots of conflicts. I bet you'll like as much as me:D

That is such a hard choice.

I think I'm gonna have to go with Chrono Trigger though. It was such a unique experience. Final Fantasy VI was too, but the whole time travel thing and the incredibly unique cast of characters from Chrono Trigger makes it the winner in my book.

That is a hard choice! I would have picked FF6 but I prefer CT because of the Time travel and music and story.

Chrono cross will sit in u for all time.. The soundtrack is so amazing i cant explain with words, the story is incredible and dispite what a lot of CT fans say, u need to understand that it was the directors choice to not make chrono cross a "direct" sequel, rather its a different expereince with "links" wich make it all the more engaging even for thos who played it b4 CT. The visual presentation is top notch for ps1. The game aslo has a pretty decent replay value, if ur some one who lieks to opbtain everything the game has to offer, unless ur standards are way off, u will most likley find great value with that title. Its still to this day regarded as one of the better rpgs of its time and over all.

That's a close one, but I am going to say Chrono Trigger. The main reason being its innovative combat system and original time-travel theme. Final Fantasy VI's gameplay, although being awesome as well, was just an improvement of Final Fantasy V.

Ya they were great but they don't make them the way they use to and FF1-10, and CT are a good example but hey i have a good feeling that FFXIII will change that.

Sorry FFVI... Chrono Trigger wins. It is just as awesome as the song "The Piano Man" and that is saying a lot.

They are incomparable IMO..... They are both too good..... FFVI changed Final Fantasy as we see it while Crono Trigger was one of the most original and fun gaming experiences ever.... So they tie.... thats all I can say:P

Chrono Trigger didn't have summons, which usually happens in an rpg. I thought that was interesting. I'm just pointing out a difference between CT and FFVI. Storyline wise... I think CT wins. There are so many other ways to compare though.

Final Fantasy VI has a better story, better vilain, and better musics.

But CT was funnier, though. It's battle system and quests were better,in my opinion. And it has 12 ends too...
