This is not good. No one should be cheering on one company buying everything up. Look up the robber baron era in the US and just how s**tty it ends up being for everyone when you have one company dominating every industry. Leads to mass poverty, inequality, less jobs in the industry, a complete slow down of innovation because with no competition there is no reason to push the bar, prices will go way up, etc.
This is the beginning of something bad for the gaming industry and to see people either act like this is no big deal or even cheer it on is a stunning showcase of how humanity never f**king learns from the past. This is the beginning of the end for Sony and Nintendo. Nintendo will probably get acquired by Microsoft eventually and Sony will just go out of business. I guess humanity just wants a world of corporate monopolies because that is where every country is taking us. What a drag.
This needs to be rejected. At what point do we stop this incessant monopolization of all industry? We need to be breaking up these massive companies not letting them acquire more. We are heading towards have one company being dominating every industry. One global power company, one gaming company, one that controls the water, heat, etc. That's the death of capitalism, communism, and socialism and the beginning of pure authoritarian oligarchic fascism. Privatized police will over rule normal police and have better gear. Humanity needs to start caring about what is happening beyond their little personal bubbles because we're not that far from the rich owning that too.
@Pyrosa: Witcher season 2 was awesome and I read all the books and played all three games. What are you professional whiners moaning about now? None of you will ever be happy. lol
@alastor529: I loved all three BioShock games. 2 was amazing even if not as good as 1. I think people get so caught up with the internal politics of things happening behind the scenes that you ruin games for yourselves by going into looking for s**t to complain about. Just glad I'm not on that level.
My gripe with the last season was that the human drama should have ended before the final battle with the white walkers. I didn't think the human drama was more important than facing the white walkers as a collective. I also had no desire for "pretty white people to ride off into the sunset" at all. The last season jsut simply wasn't that good. It wasn't terrible either tho. Just an ok ending for what should have been an epic show and just a lesson to not make a show out of unfinished source material because once they no longer had books to follow, it turned into a normal tv drama real fast.
@ember_to_flame: No it should be like a 50 hour story with maybe another 50 hours of side content but 500 hours? That's a turn off. I like playing more than one game a year so a 500 hour game just seems stupid to me. Even Skyrim can't touch that. And its a zombie world so there is no way that 400 of those hours aren't just purely repetitive fetch quests. I'm worried this game is going to end up being an over done and over killed pile of s**t now.
I absolutely loved the first Dying Light so its going to be weird to say this, but 500 hours for the new game is a turnoff. Who has that kind of time for just one game? This is where devs are going too far with open world games. Trying to make them endless is just creating a game that most people will never even see 15% of and look at how long it took them to make this game. Less is more needs to be revived as a concept. Quality over quantity because no single player game that offers 500 hours of content is going to live up to delivering anything but endless fetch quests.
This is a stark difference from what imo made the first Dying Light so good. The world was big enough to get lost in long enough level up and enjoy beating the story and most of the side content. Why they felt the need to add 420 hours to that is insane to me. I would rather get smaller and shorter games of concise quality more consistently than wait 10 years at a time for a game that would take me a year to beat doing mindlessly repetitive BS. I do want to play more than one game a year after all. This is a bad trend for modern open world games that needs to die off.

You knew exactly how people were going to react to this and hey you got your views so it worked. lol I liked the first two of the Raimi Spiderman trilogy but the Venom one? Ehhhhhh lol Didn't like the next two at all, and the new one I think I need more time to form an opinion. The first movie was just kind of uneventful as opposed to other Marvel flicks.
