@treechopper88: So he should take less money because you want a show? Ha! What a selfish stance.

@zerojuice: You sound like the kind of person that would argue in favor of 7 dollars an hour for minimum wage while defending billionaires paying no taxes. What a rube. lol.

@dushness: Eh I'm over the past. I want new games so I appreciate them trying with this. They just need to step up the quality of writing and lower the cost because these nostalgia RPGs are not worth 60 bucks. 30 would be reasonable.

I feel like I kind of like it so far but its hard to accept the price tag. For 40 dollars I might have bought it but 60 feels high for what amounts to a PSone game. Same way I feel for all of these nostalgia RPGs. Charging 60 bucks for a game like this when I can buy Elden Ring for the same price makes no sense. I could make this on Gamemaker so the idea of devs charging so much what indie devs could do on their own without a big budget studio is absurd. Honestly, it should be 29.99 at launch and if it was, they make more money overall because people would buy it while most people will wait for a sale at 60 and if it never happens, like with Octopath, they just won't buy it. Also, what happen to cool name for games like this? Triangle Strategy is a such a lazy title.

@byshop: Yeah voice and acting and story telling being "bad" is this one reviewer's opinion. Haven't seen that anywhere else yet. I might like what this person doesn't and its preordered so I'm playing it regardless. Plus, like you said the story wasn't exactly brilliant for the first one and damn sure wasn't why I was playing that game. I loved the progression of struggling to climb a short fence and running from everything in the beginning to flying from rooftop to rooftop with my grappling hook while laying waste to entire hordes alone with my lightning sword. lol

I thought about grabbing one yesterday but the specs are way less than the series X so I'd rather just wait. Its going to take a long time but I would eventually like a series X and PS5. One or the other would be nice right now tho. I just want to experience some next gen gaming finally.

There does come a time where making old games shinier for the new console becomes a little redundant. It already looked great. How much greater does it need to look? GTA V comes to mind because how many people didn't realize that the last gen we never got a new GTA game? That was a 360/PS3 game that is now getting remastered yet again for PS5 instead of them just moving on to VI already.

Remakes, remasters, and nostalgia acts all their place but are becoming imo too much of a cash grab go to instead devs really trying to push the bar creatively and make new games for series or just new IPs in general. Its long overdue for the video game industry to have a creative boom instead of just constantly doing the same old thing.

@Barighm: I was thinking that too recently. All these studio acquisitions could be their way to end their console market and just pump out games for PC, Sony, and Nintendo. In the end they would probably make way more mony that way. We could someday see Halo on a Playstation console. Or they stick with consoles, make everything exclusive to Xbox, and that could be the end of Playstation altogether unless they really step the innovation on new IPs to replace what they just lost. It could lead to a creative boom for Playstation where after losing games like Fallout, Elder Scrolls, COD, etc this past year they now have create games to rival those. Sometimes this kind of thing can have an interesting outcome. This definitely was a game changer, pun intended lol, one way or another.

People said the same thing about video games in general when they first started. Here is the thing, I would love to participate more in reality but world leaders across the board have made reality suck for most people. You want us back in reality instead of relying on entertainment to get us by? Stop being greedy d**ks and create a world that's worth being a part of. Right now, human civilization is a giant POS that seemingly is only going to become worse over time so I'm very much looking forward to VR and the Metaverse.
