It's sort of unseemly the way they're actually calling attention to it as if consumers should consider it a positive, especially considering they're charging a mandatory subscription fee if you want to do almost anything other than play offline games and use HDMI pass-through. Some sentiment in these comments that Sony is going to integrate advertising into their software too, but the difference is Sony is only pay-walling online multiplayer. Microsoft is putting virtually every feature of the system other than (part of) the games behind the subscription.
@SirNormanislost Because neither Sony or Mixrosoft are headquartered in Germany, and Nintendo of Europe IS headquartered in Germany and was long before this law existed.
