[QUOTE="SuperSlimShady"][QUOTE="jorler333"]So, Mr. Super Slim Shady brings you another 'favorite' thread.

This isn't trolling, but it seems to me like he is trying to annoy people by repetively posting these same topics. I'm just guessing here, but if it progresses it could be considered trolling.

jorler333

Dude, chill. I just think that these kinds of topics are fun to discuss. If you don't like them just don't read them. I am not 'trolling' I am just making a theme for myself so chill.

Favorite Mario Kart...LOL

Why'd you add the LOL? obviously you found it funny you were posting yet another 'favorite' thread and thought it would annoy people. That is trolling. And I'm perfectly 'chill.'

The only person "trolling" in this thread is you.

I automatically can't say Wii, since I didn't play Galaxy or MKW, so I can't judge them. So between GC and N64, I'd say SM64 was much better than Sunshine, and MK64 was also better than DD, and though Melee is the best of it's series, I can't give the nod to the GC based solely on one game, so N64 takes this one from me. Besides, I prefer the original Smash to Brawl as well.

I agree completely with the original post, though I must say that the term "epic" got thrown around a bit too much in there.

The thing about the original trilogy's story is that it was subtle. It wasn't in your face, but for those of us who bothered to pay attention to it, it was an extremely well told story. The fact that they pulled it off without a lick of dialogue is a true testament to their storytelling abilities at this time. I would actually love for Sonic 4 to attempt this level of storytelling again.

That's really another one of the problem's with today's Sonic games, is that they've made the stories way too complex. Even some of the 2D games on the handhelds have gotten bad about it. Go back to this simple yet extremely satisfying structure, and I think we just might find that original Sonic charm once more.

Digital games are really impersonal as well. Just think, some years from now when kids ask their parents for that new big game for Christmas. On Christmas morning, though, they won't have a gift for them under the tree waiting for them to open up. No, instead, they'll have to turn on the console and see what games Mommy and Daddy downloaded for them. It just feels so artificial...

As gaming becomes more and more digital, I sadly see my days as a gamer gradually coming to an end. As bad as things are now, they're only going to get that much worse in the future, so in all likelyhood this will be my last generation of console gaming. Sonic 4 being download only is the absolute final straw for me. There's been other games that I've been interested in, but due to them being download exclusive, I've been unable to play, as my consoles are not online. Those other games have only slightly irritated me, but Sonic 4 completely pisses me off. I spent hundreds of dollars on my console as it is, yet why is it that I'm still being restricted on what games I can or cannot play on it? It's repulsive.

Now, I can somewhat understand the need for such a feature on really obscure games that would never find the shelf space in stores anyways. But big name titles like Mega Man and Sonic? I think New Super Mario Bros has more than proven that such games would continue to fare perfectly well in stores, and I'm quite frankly insulted that such games are available exclusively to those who are online with their consoles. I fully support physical copies over digital.

[QUOTE="mitu123"]

If it plays like Sega Genesis 2D Sonic games then :D.

If it plays like Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis(GBA) then .

allsystemsphai

Well Sonic Advance 2 and 3 went for very different directions than the MD games, but yes, SA was bland and the MD games top them all.

He's not talking about the Advance series. He's talking about the very broken Sonic Genesis game, a port of Sonic 1 for the GBA. The game was so buggy it was quite literally unplayable.

I hate games being ONLY available via DLC and I am not a fan of episodic gaming. I barely accept it for my favorite shows because I just wait till they release on DVD and buy the box set. Give me a 2D COMPLETE sonic game on a disk. Sega always takes one step forward and two step back.Javy03

Finally someone who agrees with me on this point! I can't believe how many people there are who actually prefer it being a downloadable game as opposed to a legitimate retail release.

Oh my god this is hillarious lol, I can't believe some people actually think this is a possibility

And haven't we learnt yet after the countless instances of Twitter fooling the gaming community?

Sonic fans stop embarrasing yourselves, Sonic will never EVER be in a main Mario platformer.

Erebyssial

Just like Sonic the Hedgehog would never, EVER show up on a Nintendo console in the first place?

If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that anything, and I do mean ANYTHING, can and potentially WILL happen as we progress in gaming.

Oh, and from my perspective, it's the Mario fans who are the one's embarassing themselves.
