@SirNormanislost About Front Mission, 5 basically wrapped up the series, though they could have made more of an effort to get the unreleased FM games out here, even if it's just a collection. (though I wonder if i can blame what happened with FM on Wada as people got the wrong impression due to 3 coming out first as 3 was much different than the other games). Though there's signs of FME being a tribute of sorts to Gun Hazard.
@JBStone1981 Funny you mentioned that as "non-FF" seems to apply to few things compared to the past due to its traditional side series being put on the back burners and for what? More KH, More flawed fantasy, more games originally developed by some other company. Due to FFXIII and FFXIV's rough start, Square's a joke among jRPG fans.
@dogfather76 It's more Square refusing to adjust with the times. Not sure how cheaply they can make things for the PS3, it's not a cheap system to develop for. But I agree with the cheaper low risk projects part.
@Paradosis That's Enix's section of things and from what I heard of DQX, it's akin to PSO (has a one player mode with story but an online mode as well)
@JBStone1981 @franzito @King9999 I wouldn't presume that much about Versus as it seems distant from the main FFXIII line, same with Type-0 (and didn't that turn out to be decent at least?)
@SorrowsFlame @StriderTuna @lumbergoose I wouldn't say the end of the game as some of them can be gotten mid-early disc 2 if you know where to look.
As far as VIII goes, it mainly came down to physicals or GF as using junctioned magic would wreck that stat, though there's draw-casting from foes which was useful early on.
@supershmo A good chunk wound up leaving Square due to a mix of things, including Wada moneygrubbing. KH I heard is on a sort of backburner, though wasn't it recently that the KH 3DS game was made?
FF's original producer, Sakaguchi left Square due to Spirits Within flopping, and now runs Mistwalker (Lost Odyessy, Last Story)
