I'm not much of a repairman, but it might has something to do with the wiring. You could open it up, since your warranty has expired, and it wouldn't have an effect. If you have the money, maybe you could get it repaired, or better yet, get a DSi.
If you aren't good with repairs (like me) I would suggest getting it fixed, or sending it to Nintendo. I'd probably break mine if it were broken.
At first sight, I thought it would be a knock-off of Tamagotchi. But, for an overly active person like me, I would wonder how many steps I've taken in the day.:P
It's a great cook book, and I had fun making a bunch of foods from around the world, especially if you like cooking. Only downside is that parents might ask you to make cook dinner from now on.:P
So I brought home my DSi from the shop, and was terribly dissapointed to find the buttons were clicky. What I'm asking is: Can I get a DSi with mushy buttons?
Maledizione
Mushy buttons? Like the one in the Lite? I'm sorry, but I hated the Lite buttons. Anyway, I don't think you can get a DSi with "mushy" buttons.
