Similar to the little pikachu-pet knick-knack of the before time, the pokewalk is gonna allow players to walk to receive 'watts'. you'll also be able to insert one pokemon from in-game into the device to walk around. you are rewarded with things such as experience, items (dowsing), and wild pokemon availability.

what do you think about it?

Unnecessary. In pictures it looks pretty cheaply made. Besides, you can just sit there and move the thing back and forth instead of walking. Some of the women in my building participated in a "walkathon" competition where prizes were awarded to whoever showed the most steps taken on pedometers. You should have seen them, sitting on the couch watching soaps, and just shaking the pedometers.

"EPIC WIN!" That's such a creative idea, and I'm almost always biking, so I would always use it.

I had the "Hey you Pikachu" thing if that's what your talking about it being like. Honestly, now that the Tomagathci fad is long dead, it's kinda pointless to still be making these things.

Probably the biggest thing to happen to the series since the addition of WiFi

You can take your Pokemon, throw it in the holder, and go to school or work and have the guy level up

Now people are saying you can cheat and that's true, you can. The thing though is that instead of wasting time shaking the holder back and forth you just have to play a few trainers in the game for that EXP so it doesn't make sense to use this when you have ability to play the game.

The point is you can do something else like homework while you shake it back and forth.

I think it's a brilliant idea. To be able to level up pokemon without playing the game. Isn't that brilliant? Yes it is. It is an EPIC WIN!!!!

Mainly because I don't have much time to play my ds, i'm usually doing things with my friends, so i'll have some good pokemon from that. Good idea Nintendo!

Ok ive done that before, and it hurts your arm! Like seriously, it'd be easier to run on a treadmill for an hour than shake it for 10 minutes!

I don't see anyone wasting time like that

If you have the choice of fighting two hard trainers for EXP that takes all of under 5 mins or shake this widget for a half hour or more just to approach that EXP why on Earth would anyone do it?

Well yeah, but my physical activities are school sports. Soccer, softball, track. I'm not going to carry around a pokemon pedometer with me, lol.

Well, I am normally VERY busy, Acting in Theatre, Basketball, Volleyball, Ice Skating, School, etc but since it's summer I am on my DS way more, so I have more time to just EV train my Pokemon on the game, although it is a good idea while I have those rehearsals for Basketball, Volleyball and Ice Skating (Not Theatre, it's more of a big deal, on stage preformances XD) I can use that to train a Pokemon =D

You'll have to be careful not to fall on it or let it get hit by a ball. It looks like it'd be easy to break.

At first sight, I thought it would be a knock-off of Tamagotchi. But, for an overly active person like me, I would wonder how many steps I've taken in the day.:P

A free pack-in to a game I've wanted for a long time that features real-time advancements to any pokemon you place into it.

How is this, in any way, a bad thing? Its not absolutely groundbreaking, but geez, its a free giveaway. If you are THAT much against it then don't buy the game.

How is shaking it repeatedly cheating?

It would probably take longer to level your pokemon by shaking that thing then it would to just legitimately go through the elite four for a while.

Its dumb because it would be faster/easier to level a pokemon up in game. No ones forcing you to take it with you. Its meant to stay in your pocket and track how many steps you've taken as well as level up your pokemon. And its free! Stop complaining about free things, it doesn't make any sense.

Free?,i really don't consider the pedometer to be "free",i consider it a new feature in pokemon gamingand you don't know for sure if it will be faster/easier to level up pokemon in the game than in the pedometer. As far as i'm shaking a pedometer,i don't really give a damn on what people says cause it will be mine and i could do whatever the hell i want to do with it.

I'm not complaining or anything like that with you so let me just tell you that one time. My reason is the design of it,it looks like a pokeball and i don't want to be caught dead with a pedometer looking like that.
