It's been a very long time.. I still remember the excitement the game generated when I first saw it revealed around May 2006 for the PS3 system. Then we had years in quiet and it wasn't until 2013 when it was renamed to FFXV and it was announced as a next generation title instead.
The game looks very good today but this is a problem when you announce the game so early in development or change your strategy mid-way into the cycle. My expectations are higher as 9+ years changes person perspective.
From what I have seen however, it looks solid - it should deliver a fantastic Final Fantasy RPG experience.
Love the art-style! I also grew up on those classic JPRGS but a Western take on genre with that gorgeous artwork I will absolutely support. I wonder why more developers don't actively pursue the idea. It's still very popular among many gamers. You can count on my money for this title.
It seems I did good to wait on more information about the NX. If it can play all of the Wii U games then it's a day one purchase for me. If not I will wait and see if they have enough launch titles ready.
"Thank you for bringing it to our attention"? Really? You're telling me that in the last 10 years of online fighting game genre this is News to a company that has been making Street Fighter for years .. It's the most common, basic human behavior in any online game. Quit before the round ends to maintain the fake winning percentage..without being punished for it.
I would love to know who is looking over the game online quality assurance and doesn't know this simply method of abuse.. All you need to do is stress test the online game with few live people for half hour. There was a check done before the game released, right?
Ridiculous, It's like they are making a brand new genre in gaming industry..
I have been on a fence purchasing vita for some time now and unfortunately it looks like 3ds will be my Christmas purchase to complement my PS4 library.
