I just can't believe nobody has a new post about Kobe not making 50 points tonight! I swear, when he did it, one would pop up EVERYTIME and be the same exact thread with the same exact posts as the other ones! I will say Kobe's team did win tonight and they did during the streak but it is still a bit overrated just due to the fact that the teams they played suck and they barely won each game. I know Kobe is a very good player but scoring a lot in five straight games doesn't make him the best ever. His team is going to get dropped in the playoffs (if they make it since there is a chance they won't) because Kobe can't score like that consistently against the playoff caliber teams (I'm talking four games in a row against the likes of San Antonio, Mavs, Suns, Jazz, etc). So I have said it before and I will say it again, Kobe will not win MVP because he isn't the MVP. He is a very good SOLO player but he doesn't do what an MVP does which is make his teammates better. You can say he does make his team better but that hasn't amounted to much because he doesn't play like this all the time. If he has an off game (which he actually does) he doesn't help his team out at all because he will keep firing bricks and not get his team into it and let them help out. Dirk or Nash will get the MVP and the Lakers will lose in the 1st or MAYBE the 2nd round and that's that.nickdastick

[QUOTE="SilverArmor82"]Carr will end up just like Drew Bledsoe. wallymartin

Bldesoe's legacy will probably be that he was one of the better QBs to not make the HoF. Use a better analogy if you intend on degrading Carr.

But as for the topic at hand, i guess the Lions wouldn't be an absolutely horrble team for him, especially if they take the opportunity to nab Thomas. That wouldn't be my first choice for him though.

Or how about I say that Carr is as bad a quarterback as wallymartin.....................good enough analogy?

[QUOTE="SilverArmor82"][QUOTE="dallas_cowboys3"][QUOTE="SilverArmor82"]It was inevitable that Carr would be gone from the Texans. If it were not for him the Texans could have easily gone 9-7, despite their incomplete team. Schaub is just basically more of a leader by example than Carr and Jake Plummer highly recommended Schaub to Kubiak and Schaub even knows the offense that Kubiak runs very well.dallas_cowboys3
What? David Carr couldn't do anything because he had no O-line. The Texans suck because they have no O-line. I don't care if you have Joe Montana and Emmitt Smith on your team. You aren't going anywhere without an O-line.

No S*** DUDE!? Nope, fumbling snaps and throwing interceptions were Carr's fault. You can't just blame it all on the offensive line, although much of the blame does go to the offensive line. He was shell shocked from being sacked so much that he was prone to making dumb decisions. You know he had more interceptions than TD:wink: The Texans were a better team than you think, despite their many flaws. If you watched any Texans' games, there were 3 games that they gave away that they could have easily won. You do not need a perfect offensive line to at least make wildcard, you do however need an excellent o-line to get to the Superbowl and the matter of the fact is that although the o-line is pretty bad, they still could have won 9 games, which was in reach and not unreachable like many of you think.

He fumbled from being sacked which was caused because of poor protection. He made poor decisions because he had pressure on him all the time because of no blocking. All of these things you are blaming him for fall to the fault of the O-line. And those games you are talking about, if they were a good team they would've hung in and won them. I never said that you need a perfect offensive line. I said they need to improve it. Do you even know what you are typing?

David Carr also fumbled snaps without getting sacked, watch some game footage:wink: They were ahead like 14-0 or 14-7 against the Eagles at the start of the season............a game they could have won at Reliant stadium. When you feel pressure, you have 4 options: 1. Take the sack 2. Throw it away 3. Scramble 4. Throw an interception Carr does not know how to distribute the ball. ALWAYS throwing to his primary receiver in Andre Johnson. I hope Carr does go to a team with a much better offensive line, so that he can lead another team to the playoffs and to the Superbowl:roll: Carr is and will always be a mediocre to average quaterback.

[QUOTE="LiL_PiNo"]What do you all say? I really think hes gonna go for another 50+ I'm gonna have to say hes getting 53. What you all think?den4sir

I really don't like Kobe, but if he wants emulate Jordan as much as he has tried, he's got to win champioships. If Kobe wants any notariety in all of his accomplishments, he needs to win championships on his own accord. As far as many fans are concerned, the 3 championships he has has won have been forgotten. Everyone has remembered Jordan and all of his championships and I think Kobe needs to have the same impact if one really wants to remember him as a champion. Kobe needs to antagonize players, coaches, and teams to go after him just like when teams went after Jordan and the bulls.

Wow, you state the obvious. I think every great player needs to win championships. Why don't many of you all say that in order for Nash to be great, he has to win championships:roll:

I'm not saying I havn't been impressed with Kobe's scoring performance of late, but I'd like to see him score 50+ against a team like Detroit or San Antonio (the better defensive teams in the league imo).Ngamer05
Why do you care so much that Kobe scores so much against elite teams? It's not like you like Kobe. Why don't you sports fans stop forcing athletes to always prove something. Kobe is doing what he needs to.
