So I've been using VGA and its been fine but I was told to use a DVI cable. So I got a DVI-D cable through my GTX 285 card into my 22 inch monitor. I really think it looks the same..I don't know if I'm just not seeing it..but I really don't see much of a difference.

Oh well, ten bucks.

In every game I play, whenever the frame rate drops to even something like 55FPS, I notice a stutter. Every time it changes I notice. Someone told me you shouldn't be able to tell the difference between 60 and 40 but playing a game at 40fps is horrible for me. Is this a sign of a bad component or something?

Here are my specs for anyone:

GTX 285. q6600 at 3.0ghz. 4gb ram. Vista Home Premium 64 bit.

:(

He says if I'm so worried about microstuttering he'll give me a 9800 GTX+ SC plus $50. I really wish someone would just offer me cash. So you sold your gx2 4 months ago for $280? I put my price as $280 and I could go $250..

Thing is, he lives is another town and I'd have to drive there..would be awkward meeting him as well...ugh. I'm 16 so my parents would have to drive me as well..would just be an awkward mess...unless he was like a really cool guy or something.

well, he said I could test it out however I want at his place or something. My biggest problem is microstuttering. I can't take it, it makes me sick. Moving across the campaign map in Empire Total War is awful, everything shaking and fps drops everywhere..

So I put my 9800 gx2 up for sale and I got an offer. Someone for some reason whats to trade their 4870 X2 for my 9800 gx2. They claim to be part of some benchmarking team and something or other so they "might as well get a lesser card". They said they couldn't/weren't allowed to compete with it or something.

So I was wondering, should I do it? The reason I want to get rid of the gx2 is Microstuttering. He says that was a problem when the x2 first came out but now that the drivers have matuare a bit it runs perfectly.

He is the only one offering, I put it up for $280 (canadian). I saw there were a few other ads for the gx2 at $300 and $320.

I was hoping to buy a GTX 285..

Do not get the 295. I heard it has the same microstuttering problems as the 9800 GX2. I have a GX2 and the microstuttering is so bad it makes me sick. I would get a 285 if I could right now..
