@Market_Pantry @MundaneHumanist If you're letting a 12 year old on the internet without sitting there watching the computer with them the entire time, that makes you a bad parent. There's a reason all site registration requires you to be 13 or older.

@julianboxe Because all reviews aren't simply one person's opinion.

I personally prefer a game that has a deep character creator, than one that has its own integral protagonist. A game like Saint's Row or The Elder Scrolls still has a good story while letting you make the character you want.

I always want to play my games as a young, lithe, cute, feminized male. I don't want to play as some buff guy, some old (30+) guy or girl, or someone with facial hair. To me, the main character, regardless of the story, regardless of what or who they are, is always seen as myself in the game I'm playing. Not a character I'm taking control of, its me. So, I much prefer to play as an ideal version of myself than anything else in every game I play. Will I play games that don't do that? of course, because how many would actually release with a main character like I described above? A few japanese games, and that's about it.

So, as I said, I find games where you can create your own character the best. It lets everyone make who they want to play in the story, be they a buff white male, an african american, a hispanic, a female, or a young, lithe, cute, feminized male. The game can take that character and tell its own story using them in the way it wants to (like Saint's Row) or can give you freedom of choice in a lot of what you do (like Mass Effect, The Elder Scrolls, Dragon's Age).

Can you make AS strong of a story emotionally doing this as say, The Last of Us? No. But honestly, I couldn't care less. These are games, not books. Fun gameplay and enjoyment is the reason they exist, not the story. Story is just extra. I can forgive a game with amazing gameplay that has a very weak story. A game with an amazing story with very weak gameplay? They should have just made a movie.

OMG I'd rather play this game on PC with its auction house and always online DRM than read the posts of all these idiots on facebook. Half the crap doesn't make sense at all, and the rest of them are just idiotic.

@JBStone1981 @Scynt
I currently own 84 PS3 games, not counting PSN games. At least 100 still to buy.
