I think the risk of video games having a potential of causing seizures due to flashing or moving lights is well established. I don't think this comes as a surprise to anyone. Given the genre of the game, I'm expecting the risk is higher here, given the neon lights and holograms and the like. Again, this should not be a surprise to anyone.

Not really a surprise, given that there are just more gamers now than there were in the days of the NES. I'd expect almost any good console to outsell the machines of that era.

I don't know that the additional speed we'll get from the SSD is going to be worth the heavy hit we're taking on storage space for both systems. As it is, even a full TB of space isn't really enough, the smaller drives are really making me hesitant to move forward with the new systems. At least with the PS4 pro I was able to just plug in a high capacity external drive and play on without worrying about space constraints. They will need to come up with a solution.

@dragonsama: I mostly agree with keeping politics out of games, but this seems a pretty benign addition. Pretty minor and at least it's in keeping with the character.

@MkScorpion4400: Just out of curiosity, how does only having one good eye affect your gameplay? I'm blind in one eye from birth, but I get full enjoyment out of the Spiderman games. Doesn't seem to cause problems, was just wondering what you've noticed.

Goodbye life.

I've already got vacation time approved to play this. I've been looking forward to a good Cyberpunk game ever since R. Talsorian published the tabletop game.

@fitzy_2812: Sometimes crunch is unavoidable, despite the best efforts of everyone involved. A game company needs to ship the game, that's how they make money. They can't take forever in development, they have to have a deadline for financial and operational planning, and they have to meet that deadline. Besides, most jobs have overtime and crunch involved in busy periods, that's a reality of modern life, for good or ill. I haven't had a week without overtime in 4 months, simply because we are so busy.

It sounds like this is a pretty short period of crunch. 6 weeks or so rather than the many months some companies have forced on their employees. They promised to try to avoid crunch time, and it seems they have minimized it about as much as they realistically can.

This is a real rookie error, didn't they learn anything from the very earliest days of computer programming, when so many games tied everything to the cycle rate, so a faster computer literally caused the games to run much faster as well. I'm not even a programmer, and I know this is a bad way to tie things together. I may not know how to track time in a game, but I do know you don't tie it to a changeable factor like framerate.

What a surprise, an error in a Rockstar PC port, I'm stunned.

Used to be I'd get excited at even a hit of a new Bioware game, but that was then, this is now. They haven't had a great track record of late, and the strong EA influence is not helping. Even in Mass Effect 3, they were starting to falter, but since then they have fallen apart as a studio. After the Anthem debacle and the mediocre Andromeda, they are just like Blizzard and Bethesda, they've spent all of their previously built up goodwill from the public.

Since the departure of their founders, they've been going downhill fast. I'll believe they can make another worthy Mass Effect game when I see it.

If they ever figure out how to monetize it as a "game as a service", they'll be able to remake it right quick. Money is Blizzard/Activision's god, and they will stop at nothing to worship at its altar. Lacking source code won't stop them.
