@bernard978 Why wish for something to fail, why wish for it to die? Why not wish for it to influence the industry to get bigger and better? To give people more possibilities and accessibility?

@JayQproductions @WereCatf It's right there in the announcement site saying they are customizable, right there... Just... Right there, dude... Can't be missed....

Plus all consoles didnt had a install base at first, xbox didnt had one and its a considerably recent console, and its pretty big now... The steam OS already have games for it, so it's actually a BETTER start.

And you can play pretty much any PC game with a controller or a mouse or keyboard, whatever you prefer.

@bunchanumbers They are probably letting the best one for last. SO, if the next one is steam box, the last one is going to be a bigger thing, and what is a bigger thing than steam box? Half-Life 3 :D
So let's hope next announcement is really the steam box!

That said, source engine 3 would also be a rad announcement.

@iBuSHiDo Right? I dont think this is that useful, but they said it will have a higher performance, and it will be free, so if you buy a pc for your living room, you wont have to buy windows and you might not have to spend a lot of money on hardware, still, they would have to convert all games to linux, so I might not be able to play some of my games on a steamOS only system... That said, let's see if this "openness" pays off.

Obviously one of them is steam box related, according to what is written in the website, they mention living room experiences and big picture, but, well three announcements? I believe the other two are also related to steam or steam box, I just dont know what they could be. They wouldnt announce games, it would be unrelated to the site announcement, plus, they wouldnt want to overshadow one thing with the other I believe.

@ChicoMonster Sure, gamespot is full of dudes, but the way you put it is like every single dude is myssoginistic or that everyone on gamespot doesnt care about women, even though I disagree with the review, bringing feminism here is not a big deal.

@JudgeSim Ehhh... Japan have a thing about "leveling up" and transforming, like the sayians on DBZ, its not a digimon clone, it's just a japanese thing.

@danboy_1990 @bobika99 You're right, but if they mess too much with the core mechanics the game will be a mess, make each pokemon have 6 moves at the same time instead of 4? then you have to rebalance and reduce all the PP for all the moves, then the pokemon tournaments (the ones in real life) would be a mess because there would be different sets of rules for different games... There really isnt a lot that can be done to upgrade the gameplay without turning the whole thing into a mess or having to rebalance everything.

@nathanmaxtro Even though I would love a Wii-U version, pokemon is a portable nintendo game and I believe they intend on keeping it this way, we all knew a pokemon would come to the 3DS and I believe most people buy 3DS's for this reason, these kind of exclusives is what keep nintendo portables relevant, if they switch to wii-u then the 3DS will stop being relevant, well, maybe not, but then if pokemon start being released to big consoles people might stop buying the portable versions, and being portable is a big part of the game (at least in Japan, I mean, taking your pokemon with you and meeting someone new and battling and trading, remember that lots of people there have 3DS's)
