@Jaxith:

"World of Tanks' audience was very, very, noticeably one-sided in its gender balance. This was not accidental."

"Is he interested in shifting the game's gender disparity?"

"When I brought up the question of the game's demographic to Deon Pek, head of customer relations at Wargaming for Asia, he, too, spoke frankly of the heavily male-dominated player base in the region."

"employing attractive young women to pose silently on stage during the Grand finals. Wearing nice dresses in World of Tanks' blue or red team colors, the women stood in place and smiled for the audience and live broadcast. That was as far as their role went, and it spoke volumes to Wargaming's awareness of its audience--and how the company encouraged the direction of its growth. Despite this, female presence wasn’t completely absent from the event."

"It was interesting to hear Pek's insinuation that World of Tanks' esports scene was encouraging growth among its female demographic"

As you can see, there is a heavy emphasis on gender here in this article, with a very negative undertone. Almost as if having a male dominated event is the worst thing that could happen. She is heavily investigating if this "suspicious" male event is not somehow sexist. Instead of accepting how things are, she is trying to encourage the reader to think that equality everywhere is the best thing, always.

Equality is not always the best thing. Why should there be more females in World of Tanks? To what benefit? What do females add to the World of Tanks community that men can't? Just adding equality for the sake of equality is bad reasoning. I adore that we have genders and gender differences, that makes me attracted to women. Imagine a world where men and women are essentially the same, same clothes, same hairdo, same shoes, same hobbies, same work, everything the same. Yuck.

Furthermore, a household event we have here in the Netherlands, which is insanely popular by women of all ages. It isn't just about householding, but celebrates everything female, from clothing and make-up to motherhood and female pleasure. They even have cocktail parties and catwalks where attractive shirtless young men pose on stage during the event. See what I did there? I haven't seen any journalist come up to that event and ask the same questions Zorine asked!

@_williamwallace Actually purplestone6988 is right, riding a horse once a year doesn't make me a horserider. It's hard to define the boundaries of what makes someone a gamer but someone who plays mobile games on the bus/train to work isn't something I would call a gamer. Maybe it's like this; is gaming one of your hobbies? No? Sorry, you're not a gamer.

@Gelugon_baat @jamboy We make jokes because this "casual reviewer" is a joke, including his joke of a review. Can anyone take this seriously? :p

@drekula2 It's not the grade he is giving that bothers me, it's his ignorance about the most obvious things in the game. His arguments are flawed throughout the review. Hence, you can give it a 2 out of 10 with some solid arguments and I would not counter argue.

@Gelugon_baat

1. Not hard as in "using your eyes". And no haven't played any previous games.

2. It tells enough information, combined with the trail and error you will become knowledgeable with the second (Once bitten, twice shy)

3. Again, see my answer for 2

4. Again, see my answer for 2

5. Again , answer number 2 and the fact that you have to pass the old ladies to progress, he clearly skipped the cutscene explaining the effigy. As a second note the items description explains it.

Most intelligent people only make one mistake, after that you will have learned from that experience and won't do the same stupid action twice. Justin and Gelugon got their ass handed to them because they are clearly to stupid to figure things out on their own. The information is all there, in a learning experience or as a description, come one, use you brain for once.

@Gelugon_baat @robilar5500 Stop defending the reviewer with weak arguments, he is clearly not meant to play these kind of games.

1.The Emerald Herald isn't hard to find, I mean COME ON.

2. pressing "back' (xbox controller) gives you stat description in every window.

3.OFCOURSE you can't block indefinitely with whatever shield you are wearing, that would make the game gamebreaking easy.

4.He is whining over the fact that nothing feels like an upgrade and wants to wear the heaviest equipment with the best weapons, ofcourse you will be slowed down by the heavy armor...

5. The human effigy part was explained in the part with the old ladies... how could he have missed that? Oh wait, I know! He is probably a casual gamer who skips all cutscenes, well prepare to be slaughtered by Dark Souls ;)

I've played Dark Souls 2 on PC for 70 + hours now and I haven't used a single wiki page with my first character.(And succesfully cleared the game) It's all about being constantly aware of your surroundings. If you want everything to be handed to you and no exploring whatsoever, stay away from Dark souls.

Sigh... casuals

@Neo_OnionKnight Haha that's funny, with the Wii U? Let the grown up consoles handle this discussion, Nintendo isn't even competing in this console war.
