Bad Company 2 kept me in game for over 500 hundred hours for 3 simple reasons:
1. There is no other shooter like it.
2. The guns felt as if they were in my hands.
3. The best squads won the game.
Current gen Battlefield titles are trying too hard to meld the best fast paced aspects of CoD with the slowed down tactical feel of the Battlefields of old and it's not working out. At all. Bad Company 2 will always be the shooter I remember the most because of those epic sniper shots from 1000+ M away, the squadmates double teaming a 4 wheeler to sabotage the enemy backline, and C4 caked all over the streets waiting for a tank.
Even though Tom is an ass at times, for the most part I enjoy his opinion even if I disagree with it. It goes without saying though, Tom is the EA of game critics.
@whynotdairy He tweeted saying him and 2K were doing the best they could to ease people into the next step of their career, whether with his new team or elsewhere. Even created a hash tag #irrationaljobs for developers looking to employ ex-Irrational staff.
