Dying Light - Gameplay Walkthrough
In this 11-minute video, players get a look at daytime in the vast and dangerous world of Dying Light.
Love Dead Island and really excited for thr parkour, night-time gameplay, and the competative multiplayer in this one.
once night had fell i knew this was a must play. Techland did a great job with the gameplay in dead island, and the world looks much better in this than dead island. But night looks like a proper survival horror game. Zombie games need a good atmosphere and this has it! Picking this up day one
Guys this is Techland. I played Dead Island. And it was Epic. This game is NextGen so I expect nothing less than the this.
I have a suspicion that this is fake touched up graphics. Like how Aliens Colonial Marines had amazing preview videos, but then the final game turned out to look like trash.
I like how this game actually portrays new types of zombies. I remember back in the RE1 and 2 days where all zombies were men and either business-casually dressed or police men. Now we have fatties, women, urban-dressed and lots more variety. What stood out to me is that there were Indian women wearing Saris in this game. Besides the environment graphics looking amazing, it's good that they are putting thought into all aspects of the visuals and tiny details like this make me impressed where I have seen too many games in my day and it's good to see little surprises like this that prove that the industry is still progressing and maturing.
I have played most current zombie games out there including dead island 2 and this is not the same thing...idk what some of you are talking about. I'm looking forward to seeing what else it can offer.
Looks like Modern Warfare and Dead Island had a bastard child....and then ass creed adopted it. You can count me out of this.
really chopie animations and kinda weird atmosphere , not so post-apocalyptic..more like action.
Will this succeed... I hope so but if i take as example how bad Dead Island ended be.. i dont know. Ill wait and see
The only problem I had with Dead Island were the shooting mechanics...it was SO boring using guns in that game. Frustrating too. Point blank shotgun blast to the face on a human enemy and they didn't die? I hope the shooty bits in this one are better than Dead Island's. It looks like great fun as far as the melee and free running.
erhm sorry can someone please tell me so whats the difference between day n night? in wat way are the zombies diff...even tho the voice over say the gameplay will differ between day n night, i dun see any difference ?
I don't have a problem with zombie games, not one bit. The only problem I have with a lot of them is the mediocre mechanics, gameplay, or general redundancy. Dead Island was something that I thought was going to be great, but then it was not. This, on the other hand, looks like the devs took some cues from other zombie games, listened to the consumers, and I am interested to see where this goes.
let me explain this one more time with out using big words or complex ideas.... cause some of the users are probably 5 years old or are just not that sharp.
from a gaming point of view, the game offers nothing new, its just another zombie game, but this time your frigging altair/ninja/conan, that hammer shock wave hit just made me face palm
and what the zombies have soap on their hands! they can't grab him and eat his face off, ever heard of the dead man grip!!! zombies are suppose to be super strong cause they feel no pain.
and that night batman BS yah you heard me BS , has no place in a zombie game, wtf is that nonsense!!! now the player has zombie senses wow just WOW.
and that mutant thing that jumped on him, RE ripoff much?!!!!
this game just looks nice, but its just another FAILED zombie survival fest, where the player is basically Chuck noris.
So Dead Island had drunken sex with Mirror's Edge and had an unplanned baby.........which looks better than it's parents.
its like resident evil in FIRST PERSON MODE!!!!
i mean what took devs so long to figure out, hey first person would look really nice and immersive to play for other games besides just shooters
this game is gonna be wicked sick
i'l definitly get it, dead island whas shit the quests where out of content, go here, go there, without changing something
Gamplay-wise this looks some parts Farcry with a little bit Dishonored with a little bit Mirrors Edge.
This game looks like it could be pretty fun, even if it is Pre-Alpha.
Hope this game has a QA team, Dead island was barley playable at launch. If this game isn't so buggy as their last, I might pick this one up. (Though It just looks like dead island done right, with a few contextual changes.)
Looks good. I loved Dead Island. It did have a lot of bugs but was still fun. Havent played Riptide yet. & this game makes Dead Island look like a test run. & its got a Mirror's Edge feel mixed in!! Yea I will have way to much fun with this when it comes out.
@innocent69 You could say the same for watchdogs, please, watch the e3 demo "Joseph de marco" video, and then watch the latest released playgame video, and tell me what you think.
@CallousIW re watch the video and you will realize the zombies have morphed pretty much looking tougher and the zombies are actually up to your speed rather than stumbling around like an idiot
@CallousIW I think if you get spotted at night, you'll keep getting pursued relentlessly until you reach a safe spot. At day, zombies might chase you but not for long distances and not overwhelmingly. At least that's the difference I see.
I guess it's like the commenter said? "Hunted vs. being the Hunter'?
You go play Dead Rising 3 .. You dont have brains for playing anything more difficult than this.
@vadagar1 just dont play it then
@vadagar1 If you are smart enough you will realize that is a ripoff from other games like mirror edge, dead island mostly because that electrified knife and techland is involved too. This is more tactical, not a generic kill everything on sight, not scary but looks really good, far better zombie game in my opinion.
And from a gaming point of view, most games are ripoff and almost everyone prefer that, else CoD should have die long ago, as mario and zelda.
Is too soon to say its a FAILED survival fest. I haven't play State of Decay and for that reason to me Dead Island is the most accurate in a open world Zombie game.
@drclaw_ last time i remember the heros in RE did not use zombies as jumping poles
@PIzo93 good thing some one noticed
in RE 1 every shotgun shell counts, every step can lead to your death, and every zombie was a threat
I just don't want to jump on zombie heads like some ninja jumping on poles, frankly the cinematic made me sick and not because of the gore, but because of how uninspired the game play was.
watch dawn of the dead.... now that was a great zombie movie, that's how zombie games should be
