- War's population depends on who you talk to....some people say it's alive and well, other people say it's dyingFelipeInside

^^ QFT :)

Thanks for your reply, I'm taking a look at LOTRO now actually. I also was wondering about Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, I heard that's pretty good aswell.

Long Read, sorry about that, I got a little carried away, but I feel I've made some interesting points if any of you would be so kind as to read through it, thanks ;)

First off I apologise in advance if this is the wrong section or even the wrong type of forum to be asking this (a friend recommended me to this place) but if you could be as honest as possible & help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it. Anyway...

5 Months ago I started playing World of Warcraft. I got a couple characters to level 80, geared them up pretty well, got my epic mounts and all of that stuff. I decided to stop playing WoW for a number of reasons:

- In my opinion I was spending too much time on the PC.

- One of the main reasons I stopped playing was due to the vast amount of childish behaviour going on ingame & the attitudes towards other players etc. For example, the day I left I was in a Raid group and I messed up for the first time in AGES and caused a party wipe. I apologised STRAIGHT AWAY and admitted it was completely my fault and that I was extremely sorry. No prizes for guessing the amount of abuse which was hurled my way by the Raid members. It just seemed that every day I logged on to the game I was getting into situations where people would start hurling abuse at me left, right & centre for stupid reasons and it was ruining the fun for me. Yes people are entitled to their opinions but to all jump on the bandwagon and join in giving me sh*t just because one person in the group said something to me is absolutely childish. This is what it was like nearly all the time and this was one of the main reasons I left. If they weren't having a go at ME it'd be in Trade chat or LFG chat. People were constantly arguing with each other & trying to get the better of one another. It was "QQ MORE" and "LMAO NAAB" etc all over the place constantly on a daily basis, I'm sure you know what I mean.

- Since I'd been playing WoW I'd not played a single other game in months and felt like I was missing out on some of the singleplayer games out there such as Far Cry 2, GTA IV, Call of Duty 4 etc. I just hadn't bothered playing any of these games because I'd been too attached to WoW.

I said above that I was "spending too much time on the PC" but it seems I'm spending just as much time on the PC now as I was back when I was playing WoW. The only difference is, I'm playing OTHER games now instead, so I guess my first point I made above is void. I should say that even though I quit WoW, I didn't quit out of boredom, because I was still enjoying the game a lot even though some of the problems I was experiencing (shown above) were present.

Therefore I'm considering getting back into the MMORPG community now although I'm not quite sure whether I want to jump straight back into WoW due to all the problems I've had with it, therefore I was thinking about Warhammer. Now I have no idea what the Warhammer community is like or whether it can even come close in terms of enjoyment to WoW, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I just don't want to pay for a subscription only to find out that it's boring and/or I'm experiencing the same problems I was with WoW. I could go back to WoW & carry on where I left off, or I could start fresh with Warhammer and see how that goes, but I'm really not sure at all.

One thing I did notice (having signed up for the 10 day trial) was that around 95% of the servers that were listed had LOW population and the other 5% only had MEDIUM. I don't want to jump to conclusions but am I right in thinking the game is "dead" or "dying"? Now it'd be a shame if it was, and please don't jump on my back and say I'm a liar or I'm bullsh*tting, I'm only going off what I've seen in the past 15 mins. The game seems to have a lot of potential but even when I made a character and wondered around for 20-25 mins, I didn't encounter a single real life person which was a bit of a killjoy.

It 'seems' as though these are the only two decent MMO's out at the moment, and I feel as if I want to get back into the MMO community, but I'm not sure which route to go down. WoW has been around since 2004, and some are saying it's at the end of it's life now, whereas WAR has only been around since 2008 but it seems to have even less of a chance at surviving than WoW has. I don't particularly want to devote my time to a game only to have it "die" a few months down the line (take PLAYNC's Tabula Rasa for example). Like I said above I'm only going off the evidence I see infront of me therefore I obviously don't know ANYTHING for certain, but when it's staring you in the face like that you can't help but wonder.

Anyway, I'll stop babbling on now and I hope that some of you can come along and shed some light on this for me, and point me in the right direction.

Thanks a lot for reading! :)

I just tried setting my controls in Call of Duty: World at War, and I like to use some keys on the Numpad such as 0, 1, 2, 3 etc. Ingame though, whenever I attempt to use the Numpad, nothing happens, even though in the controls section I set 0,1,2,3 etc on the Numpad as specific actions. It's thinking I don't want to use the Numpad, I just want to use the Numbers, therefore it's set 0,1,2,3 etc (which I thought were 0,1,2,3 on the Numpad, because that's what I pressed) to the numbers above the QWERTY keys on the keyboard instead, if you know what I mean. Is there any way to set it so I CAN use the numpad for some actions ingame? Thanks.
