i think game companies will always try to keep game prices in the $40-$60 range...i am sure they have economic models in which they have analyzed price (and cost) vs. # of units sold, amongst other factors, and have concluded that this is the optimal price range for new games...games have been in this price range for years - back to NES days...maybe inflation will hit at some point...back in the day Neo Geo games were $100+ and we saw how that did...

that said, for me too much for a game would be more than $100, but at that price point i would for sure be much more selective about what i buy

for a new console, i would say more than $1000 is too much...although this is coming from someone who bought a ps3 and a sega saturn at launch

I don't know where you live but in the N64 days a game cost me $80-120 at times here in Ontario, Canada. I would say froma round 1998-2000 ish.

how many hours is it?

Kind of tough to say. Unless the developer has given an estimation I have no clue.

Hiya folks, first time caller long time listener (What?) I really like sports games on the consoles to play with friends (physically there) like the latest nba and PES or FIFA. I haven't played online multiplayer since 2005 and that was a horrible experience. I was wondering, what is the best sports game with online multiplayer for the pc? please tell me your horror stories or otherwise. Thanks!odahumanity

Sorry, not any good ones I can reccommend. NHL 09 actually requires you to know the other players MAC address or IP address. MLB 2K9 has no online. We aren't even getting the enxt versions of EA sports games. NHL 08 and 06 were very laggy. NBA 2K9 has no online. NBA Live 06 has no players last tiem I was on.

[QUOTE="FishSquared"]Online co-op makes anything better! Well, that's the general sense is all.

It does if you are a fan of co-op. I on the other hand am not. I don't like having to depend on someone else, having them slow me up. It is fun from time to time but I usually find it more of a hindrance than a bonus.

I ve been wathching this game for some time now and am wondering what the masses think about it? So far I am getting that mass effect feel in ter,s of gameplay and thats alright by me. I've always wanted to play an rpg based on reality, meaning a game being played during the timeline not something either 500000 years ago or in the future. I would like to see a game based off the world as we know it now. So what do you think will it be good, average, or just plan terrible? I m thinking above average. hollar

I can't really say for sure as I haven't played it. I can say that I like what I see and I liked KOTOR II and NWN II so I have faith in Obsidian. If you are going to preorder I think it is a safe bet but there are no certainties.

With the Gamespot article on next-gen costs, would you seriously still be a gamer if game costs escalated to $80? Would you just rent everything? Dare I say, even some of the more illicit activities out there might be tempting for honest people? I thought the PS3 was already cutting it close with a $500 price point. Might as well get a computer, not a console. The dominance of Nintendo's Wii shows that we're at that breaking point. The cheaper casual console is killing the PS3 and 360.Is there REALLY anything to gain by once again leaping into the great beyond of next-gen consoles? ESPECIALLY with the economy the way it is now! With the exception of the blu-ray market, movies have become cheaper. Books are still cheaper than ever with used book stores. How does gaming seriously expect to compete with other entertainment mediums if it keeps going up, not down?

I game mostly on the PC and I don't think they would go up to $80 as they usually cost less. I remember when N64 games cost $120 here in Canada so $80 isn't a deal breaker for me. I think the costs can be lowered if more companies focus less on graphics and more on gameplay.

The guy who did the first movie did a pretty decent job. If not him than James Wan, Neil Marshall, or possibly Zack Snyder.

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, Resident Evil 4, True Crime: Streets of New York. Simply horrible games.

Anyone got any ideas what i can do? I already tried the mission all over about 3 times and nothing changes, i kill everyone and it doesnt tell me that the mission is complete. Its "Men like Gods" or something like that, when u help with the helicopter until u get called back to the base for a debriefing, they tell u about some gas that affects only those infected and u start fighting. I watched a walkthrough and they do exactly the same things only it tells them the mission is complete. http://img14.imageshack.us/i/stucku.jpg/yasepo

I would check their offical forums to see if anyone has had the same problem. No need to join, just do a quick scan. I had an audio glitch when I first started the game and found a fix there by reading.
