Was the Kinect ever relevant, though?

And as @Dragerdeifrit mentioned earlier in this comment section, the technology just isn't there yet. I agree with the estimate he/she set, in 10 years I am positive Kinect type technology will be absolutely amazing. I haven't personally gotten to try a Kinect yet, but I don't imagine it working very well. Sure you might be able to launch Netflix most of the time...but isn't using a mouse or your controller just easier and more reliable?

Man, I am starting to want a Wii U now.

If I get a summer job I think I might just throw down some money and buy one, despite only being interested in like three games for it. :P

@madara86 @zeca04 Actually, reaching level 100 in about 10-15 hours should be no problem for most people who are even slightly experienced with the Souls series.

If you consume all of the "Soul of a Lost Soldier" etc. items you find here and there, as well as the Souls of Bosses that you know you're not going to use (for example the Last Giant Soul which gives you a giant hammer, and you're going for a dex build). And at 25 hours you should definitely be over level 110 unless you are completely new to this game series.

And then you can of course easily farm some areas a little bit to earn you some extra souls.

And the reason he reviewed it is because GameStop are doing their "other take" type stuff, in which they let someone who are usually new to a series and give them a go, it's nothing serious, i's just a way to show us the opinions of those unfamiliar with the game.

I do agree with some points in this review, for a brand new player Dark Souls 2 is brutal. I've played both Demon's and Dark Souls, and I completely missed the Emerald Herald on my first playthrough. I didn't even see her, despite looking through Majula. I actually missed the tutorial area because I didn't realise the fog walls led me to a tutorial, hahah.

I do hope FromSoftware wise up with their next Souls game and adds a better tutorial system, explaining game mechanics, levelling up etc. in a more obvious manner. But then again that's part of the charm with the Souls series, you're left to fend for yourself and figure it out on your own, however a little help to start you off can't be that damaging. :P

As for my opinions on the game, I absolutely love it, and I'm sure it will be damn close to my top 5 this year, if not straight up GOTY. I played it for 24 hours in the first three days, I don't think I've ever been that immersed in a game that isn't TES or Fallout.

That was hilarious, and I don't even watch House of Cards (almost wrote Game of Cards there for a second lol) or play CoD.

And I hope for the sake of the call of pewpews that Sledgehammer manages to make a good game that isn't just the same thing that has been released since Modern Warfare.

I'd also like to run around in a suit jacket and boxershorts on the beach throwing knives around, but I'd probably get arrested so I better not. Ah, the power of a camera! :P
