@dlCHIEF58 @Paradosis Um... you made my point for me, but I don't think you realise it. If they wanted to use criteria it wouldn't be "a design criteria" it'd be something like "one of the design criteria."
"We had a limited amount of time today and a lot of story to tell."
Is he talking about the press conference that MS planned and themselves put a time limit on? You have 168 hours a week... if you have some news you want to share, by all means go ahead.
2 years ago I bought a single-player PC title that had required you to connect to the internet to play, even though there was nothing on the box, reviews, etc. about that. I didn't find out about it until I had moved to a new apartment and didn't have net or cable for a few days, and figured I could play the game. Nope. Guess we should just dealtwithit when stuff like that happens. It's not like we actually bought the games. Oh wait...
This is pretty surprising that it happened to begin with, though an apology was expected as Couric violated the most important dogma of modern journalism: there are always two sides to a story. (In cases when there aren't two sides, journalists are encouraged to fabricate a second side, so as to appear to give the story balance and even-handedness. Seriously.)
