Tomb raider was amazing when it came out, it took ideas from Pitfall, and to stand out from the doom/wolfenstein market created a character in 3d you could see and control, it took ideas and made their own niche out of it.

Uncharted took elements of Indiana Jones, took ideas from Tomb Raider and created their own brand of fluid platform action adventure gaming, and really gave more characters and life to the whole proceedings, once again standing out from the pack.

Starwars1313 looks like they remodeled the train scene from uncharted 2 and put ships and star wars looking laser blasts instead of gunfire.

It's so disconcerting though, it's still branded as a sequel, and the whole echelon 4 thing is weird, i really hope Ironside is in the game, but im not holding out in hope for this happening there really there was no need to reboot the entire cast with fresh new faces, it just needed a good new game.

I understand that Tomb Raider and Star wars games had been going way before uncharted, but cmon, theres a difference between expanding upon someone elses idea and just blatantly ripping it off, that footage of the dude climbing up the side of the ship was so badly an uncharted ripoff it wasn't funny, right down to the movement animations, if they were going to this, they might has well have made an Indiana Jones game instead.

I know Jacanuk, it's just that i don't get what the insatiable need is for these developers to reboot things? And then parade this like it's a sequel? I mean it actually sounds like the entire cast has been revoiced, when, apart fom Lambert channging voice actors for one game with Pandora tomorrow, the core group have been the same for the entire series. I just don't get it. Ironsides portrayal of Sam was pretty damn important to the series, hopefully this will be a flashback mission, but i doubt it.

I love the splinter cell series, LOVE em. Even Concivtion was awesome. But this is pile of crap, what is it anyway, sequel, reeboot? And mainly, why the hell is there no Michael Ironside!

Seriously, Ironside IS sam Fisher, he has been for the past 5 games, so why the need to change him? It wasn't as if his performances were decilining :(

I was waiting patiently for word on this game and in 2 mins lost all interest.

Oh and by the way, you think maybe Naughty Dog should Sue Lucasarts for blatantly ripping off Uncharted with that 1313 nonsense?
