@baszzer I liken it to being Arkham City but with a larger city and a non-Batman main character. The action is tight and responsive, most notably the hand to hand combat which many other open world games seem to disregard apart from Arkham City.

This game is the story of my life. It's even got my moves and my bullet time effect. The only aspect that is off is that I am not Chinese.

If only it allowed a Mass Effect style customization for the main character. It doesn't need to have gender variances or homosexual branching sex quests, but rather the ability to change one's look, tone of voice, and muscle mass.

@DuskMirage I played the first Darksiders on PS3, actually platinumed it, and I didn't notice any screen tearing. Probably better to get the PS3 version of Darksiders II. If you're going to spend hours being absorbed in the game's world, one of the worst things to have is screen tearing ruining the immersion.

If I were to rename this reboot, I would rename it as simply "Lara Croft". This way you don't need to reference Lara Croft as depicted in the old Tomb Raider series.

It's simply "Lara Croft", the survivor, the heroine.

@DarthLod I don't think all of this is due to political correctness. I think the folks leading the franchise realized that Tomb Raider wasn't going anywhere despite various follow-ups that tried to do things differently, ranging from killing Lara Croft in the 4th game, having flashbacks on her death on the 5th game, bringing her back to life in Lara Croft: The Angel of Darkness, then trying to resurrect the series on next gen, and then trying to incorporate elements of Uncharted with Tomb Raider: Underworld... I mean, where else can you go from there besides rebooting the entire franchise from the ground up?

I don't think the ridges are part of the final plan. That must be some identifier to distinguish the prototype model from the final one.

The final design will most likely have a smooth matte finish, while also top-loading.

@ivan_osorio I guess it's not multitouch after all. Useless!

@bg44 If it's anything like the Deadliest Warrior games, it will suck.

Lords of Shadow did not need DLC. Gabriel Belmont's "character development" was effective as-is. Having DLC to step-out how he got to that point just made it less mysterious, and the way it was executed just spoiled the experience as a whole.

Each LoS DLC, priced at $9.99, consisted of still-image cutscenes with full on voice work. It looked like an incomplete, no-budget, "deleted scenes" featurette you would find on a DVD movie. The production behind it was arguably rushed and half-hearted; it made Mercury Steam look lazy and Konami greedy.

If Konami felt they needed to release DLC to capitalize on the franchise's success, they should have released extra challenge maps and added a leaderboard feature. They could have also added playable characters for the challenge maps, such as Zobek, Claudia, Cornell, and Pan. These are not original ideas, mind you, but mimicking the approaches of other games such as Ninja Gaiden and Arkham Asylum / City.
