Did you enjoy this video?
darksiders is my fav game ever . and ill not miss it .
Fantastic. They kept my favorite feature from the 1st game: Screen tearing.
first il say i liked the first game so looking forward to this, but my god what a boring stage demo, no fighting? just walking around in the town for 12+min. really? poor showing
i bet the last 2 horseman will be a kick in the balls coop game
it as a toon look like in world of warcraft, its more animation then looking real quiet cool
THQ TOOK TWO MONTH TO FIX DETAILS ON THE GAME BUT THEY BIGGEST MISTAKE THEY NEED TO FIX IN THIS GAME IS THE SCREEN TEARING
I love the art, Can we please fix the Screen Tearing please, Darksider producers CAN YOU FIX THIS GAME SCREEN TEARING PLEASE, WHY DOES KNOW ONE POINT OUT THE SCREEN TEARING
love the art
Nothing he said was new. At all.
And all we saw was Death running around talking to people, with blacked-out text mind you, and some locals. Such a waste of time. Nothing to see here people. Just move along....
seriously they showed NOTHING
zelda ripoff with a little castlevania lords o shadows sprinkled on top no buy from me
this game is going to be great
dark souls style combat?
Looks awesome. A bit more of an RPG, and I'm more than okay with that.
I seriously hope they make all facial animations as good as in the first Darksiders. It was the best I've ever seen in a game and I keept dropping my jaw every time there was a cutsceen because of it. Kinda bothers me death has a mask since I loved the expressions so much. Tho I won't judge death before I get to see the complete game.
I'm fine with them adding add a lot more armors and weapons to the game, but I'm not too fond of the idea of making them random drops with randomly generated stats.
I'm not sure it matches particularly well with this kind of action adventures.
I like the art direction better then KOA. I also love the fact their is random equipment thats always the most fun.
I wonder if they have added anything original to this one. All they talk about is the art of the game. The first game looked good too but it felt just like a mishmash of a dozen games.
I've said before, and I'll keep saying it, gorgeous, inspiring art direction.
I am super excited. Not so excited about what seems to be an INTENSE amount of screen tear. Was it just me or did anyone else notice that, apparently, ANY camera movement resulted in screen tear. It's a bit worrisome because this was also an issue in the first game. I don't want to sound picky, but it's something that has a tendency to really KILL immersion for me. I hope it's remedied in the gold copy.
In my oppinion the design level of this game is waaaaay more awsome than all games i ever played in my entire life...,Death loooks amazing too.. i can't describe with words how much i like the imagination put in this game
did my preorder for PC, i hope for a console port its going to be ok :\ I think i should have preorder it on PS3 instead, will see, hope i didnt do a mistake getting it for PC...
i'm drooling...mainly over the giant ladies' giant, giant's chest!
oh man i cannot wait to get my hands on it , its going to be off the hook , just think that they spend all this time on story mode single player since the first game came out, soo ofc its gooing to be long and awesome ;D
Only a few more weeks I cannot wait. It will be worth the wait I'm sure I don't know about anyone else but I loved the first Darksiders it was a gem to find. This one looks 10x better than the first one so I am pretty excited can't wait to pick up my copy when it comes out.
I just hope the combat is a bit more complicated. all you had to do for DS1 was mash X or Sqaure and wait for the instant kill on the top of their head... I still liked the first game but its combat got repetitive
too many spoilers. :(
aaaaaa,almost screen tearing!
I ask everybody again: Is Darksiders 2 a puzzle driven game like the first episode? If yes, sorry but I'm not going to buy it.
@Hard_Target Would you prefer 20 frames per second instead?
@DemoKnight10656 I hope not.
@tmacghost STOP SHOUTING!!!...i mean stop shouting. They can't hear you anyways.
@Lotus-Edge should've played the wii u version, at least it would've shown something new
@Lotus-Edge Its the artwork they are showing off here and really, made me pause and seriously examine the creative details on a couple of instances. Even in darksiders 1, I always found myself just standing in a dungeon and examine the creative details for minutes before moving on to the killing.
You just named the reasons why this game is awesome and yet you're not gonna buy it. Good gamers are such idiots sometimes...
@TRAVISTOUCHD0WN To be honest, that's why I like it. It's like an M rated Zelda with more RPG elements, and I say keep it coming.
@TRAVISTOUCHD0WN Oh come on, man.
@Laxer04 I definitely do not think so. Did they mention that in the video?
@Atheosis I love the RPG elements they added to the game (loot, customization, skill trees,etc.).
@Gigga_Jabba I read somewhere that even with a mask, Death's expressions are stunning... donno how they do it.
@Gigga_Jabba Have you played Uncharted?
@rasputin177 KOA stood for being safe and generic. Darksiders II stands for sheer creativity and "out of this world" type of environment.
@PrpleTrtleBuBum Well, there's really nothing much more you can add to action RPG / adventure RPGs so at least it differentitates itself with artwork you won't find in other titles such as GOW.
I think that's just a problem of this demo. i never had any issues with the firt game anyway. where did you play it on?
@shadeofaltayr This is exactly how I feel about the difference Joe Mad brings to the darksiders series. No other games have such fantastic design and artwork. I mean, even plain boring walls are made good looking in this game... compare this with GOW and GOW really fades as totally unimaginative.
@Hotswagle7 Well, the combat is really as complex and creative as you want it to be and can be as button mashing boring as you want it to be as well. You can check out some of the 4 weapons combo and aerial combos some people are doing which are very complex and satisfying to pull off.
ppl hate thinking...
@Thumbler76 Yes but I never found the environmental puzzles impossible to figure out on my own. In fact, it can be extremely satisfying, more satisfying than killing some easy boss creatures.
It will be. Yes.
@Zeeksie I guess what hes trying to tell is that they made the same mistake on the X360 version. The PS3 version doesnt have this. I will buy it for my PS3 but I hope they fix this issue for X360 as its quite an awesome game..really it is ! worth every penny ! cheers !
@Lotus-Edge Thats why they say Darksiders series aim to play like a comic book.
@MrOnage 360, but it was DEFINITELY noticeable. It was especially prevalent in the area with that demon-spider fight. And also out in the desert area with the worm. It was less pronounced in most of the *darker"* areas because screen tear seems generally less obvious when the whole palette is darker.
@ssj2losI just don't like this kind of game where action is limited to rooms and there is a constant presence of boring puzzles who slow the walkthrough of the game.
We aren't all geniuses like you, sorry.
@MrOnage That all said, you could be totally right. Could be a resolution issue with the either the monitor, the recording device, or could just be a *build* issue. I'll hope for the best. I really LOVED the first game; I just thought it was excellent all the way around. In truth, it's one of only a handful of games over the last three years or so that kept me enthralled BEYOND one playthrough and made me want to revisit the world multiple times. It brought out the completionist in me a gain. And this game seems to have the right lore, the right look, the right gameplay feel, and so far the devs have said ALL THE RIGHT THINGS. So I'll admit that my hopes are really high. I'm trying to seriously temper my expectations, though. And it's often the minor details that end up killing something, eh? I don't think it's going to kill my enjoyment of the game, per se. But it might be enough to cause me to not think, "DAMN. That was a GREAT game."I know that sounds petty -- maybe even very trivial -- since I feel like as a package it's probably going to be a top five or top three game. And it'll likely contend for GOTY. But as crazy as it sounds, for me at least, *screen tear* is just one of those tiny things that irks the hell out of me. Of course, I've dealt with it before in ALL the ME games and even some second-tier stuff I've really loved like KoA: Reckoning. So we'll see...
@Thumbler76 @ssj2los Meh...people should be able to enjoy the type of entertainment they want to enjoy -- so don't be put off by elitist commentary. I think the ire rises, though, from the fact that gamers who like a heftier mix or just a better ratio of cerebral gameplay to face basing feel a bit left out in the cold. It's a rare game indeed that gets that mixture right. And I think for the other side of the equation (the crew who wants some more brain and not quite as much brawn) it's really frustrating. I mean, there is very little compromise, you know? It's either Portal 2 or Call of Duty -- there isn't any sort of happy medium.That's where the aggravation arises, at least in my opinion. And I feel that's a totally valid gripe about the industry-at-large. There are plenty of smart gamers who like action; and there are plenty of smart gamers who like something more cerebral, but there isn't much for the vast mass of folks in the middle who are looking for an IP that can bridge that gap.Mark my words, that's why a franchise like Assassin's Creed has been SO successful (probably Mass Effect, as well). Those franchises appeal to that group that falls right in between both of those extremes...
