I bet the same people complaining about ps4 not being backwards compatible are the same group of people who didn't buy the ps3 at launch because of the price. It's simple really, ps4 without BC = reasonably priced, ps4 with BC = expensive. Couple that with some of the rumoured launch titles do some of us really have a possible $600-$700 to spend on day 1??
@SSavin93 Cheaper games? If there is no direct competition from other retail outlets who can sell their products at a lower price these devs and publishers can raise the price of their games if they want to. Think about it Amazon, ebay, Walmart and others are one of the reasons why price drops come so quick after game releases. You can't possibly tell me as a gamer that you haven't benefited off of this because I know I have. If it wasn't for the fact I got borderlands GOTY used I wouldn't have bought borderlands 2 brand new at launch. So instead of a Dev or publisher losing money they actually ended up making more instead.
I find it ridiculous that these Devs/Publishers believe they should cash in multiple times off one copy of their games. They should be happy people bought them in the first place because if this becomes standard next gen then they better get use to me not buying their games at all.
I see people saying "Looks like I'm getting the next Xbox". Hasn't it been rumoured that Microsoft were also looking into this anti-used gaming a while back...
