I liked nsmw and galaxy 1&2 but I hope they go back to the more exploration oriented 3d Mario of 64/sunshine.

@Gravity_Slave: Many people keep repeating that line but the wii shifted a lot of games early on. In the end the average number of games sold per console was pretty typical for a console.

The completely over the top level of piracy was a major factor for the limited investment in games towards the end of it's life.

Looks really good, and has some great little details, but also looks vast and time consuming. I'm not sure I have enough free time for such a huge Zelda game. I'll have to try it though.

@Litchie: It would have been nice if they uped the difficulty for the second 3ds game... Or added a hard mode. That said I was first won over to Kirby by triple deluxe, which I loved, and if it wasn't for my lack of disposable cash right now i would likely check this one out.

@Utnayan: Indeed. There has been countless inside stories of review corruption within the press for decades. Long before the internet. It's amazing that people still give the benefit of the doubt to reviewers. Especially to a site like GameSpot who have been proven corrupt in the past and have done nothing to make us believe they've mended their ways other that say, 'Oops, you caught us. Won't do it again. Promise'.

The way much of the press works is that if you or your publisher/distributor don't have some sort of advertising deal the odds are a publication won't even acknowledge the existence of your product. 'Not corruption', they'll claim, 'Why should we promote a product that rivals our advertisers products'.

In a review site like this there are so many ways to bias a review. Plenty of Sega money = Give it to a hardcore total war fan who's almost granteed to be favourable even if the game is more of the same + some new bugs. Likewise you could give the review to someone who takes a lot of pleasing if the publisher doesn't pay enough. Why complain? They're still honest reviews, right?

For the record, I like Total war games. But that guy who accused you of having a tin foil hat for questioning Gamespots credibility is remarkably naive.

It's not really a game. It's more of a quirky social network. It should be compare to the likes of the miiverse and facebook, extra.

Anyway my 9 year old niece and her friends loved it... at least at first. I don't think it'll hold there interest long and it looks like they're already switching back to using more straight forward chatting apps to communicate to each other. If Nintendo build on it they might be able to bring them back but it needs to give them a reason to log in. It's certainly a interesting take on social networking.

I think my niece also didn't like that, as her friend, I could read the comments her friends wrote on her posts. :P

I would have liked to see Yoshis Wooly World on the list. For that style of traditional platformer it might be best of class for me. As I've only got a little way into X so far it's between Yoshis Wooly world and Mario Maker for me. The nature of what Mario Maker is would make it win for me, but but I want yoshi to win because, for me, it is a clear improvement on the dated yoshis island and as much a refinement as mario world was over Super Mario Bros 3. Of course it's not as revolutionary as SMW but that's because that style of traditional platform game is old and well established. It's an underrated game on so many sites.
