@doctorj11111 Yes, both offers will end up with a very similar pricing for the whole set (2 gamepads, camera and multiplayer access). Sony just played on the fact that the X1 requires Kinect, and thus makes it harder for Microsoft to release a cheaper entry version.
I am merely answering what you have brought up, which was the product launch. Notice I never said one is better than the other, I only stated, with hard evidence, that writing the X1's launch was a better one is being oblivious at best. The X1 one is a good console, as is the PS4, the thing is Microsoft blew the launch pretty hard by not focusing on the real strengths of their product and not addressing the major concerns of their customers. Investors started shifting to sony because of that, not because the console itself is bad.
The "sheep following the cheap shots" is the basic idea of market economics. It is what happens when one of the competitors screws their product launch.
You must be talking about a different product launch, because the Xbox one was clearly met with a bad market reception. This isn't just my opinion, I'm talking about a product launch so bad that sony had their stocks trading at over +8% the day the XBOX ONE was revealed.
