UCN makes a colonization investment, and the ships are lost in a solar flare. UCN is bankrupt so they put Helghan and Vekta up for sale, the Helghast buy the rights to the planets and give them their current names. Helghan is rich in natural resources but though habitable is plagued by radioactive dust and electric storms, while Vekta is a earth like world.

The Helghan corporation becomes uber rich through trade and travle so the UCN places a embargo on them which naturally the Helghast refuse because the UCN has no jurisdiction over them.

UCN sends ISA to take Vekta starting the first extrasolar war. The Helghast are driven from Vekta. The Helghast return and retake their homes in the second extrasolar war.

So basically the ISA wage war with the Helghast for a planet they legally sold ownership to, then they have the nerve to stay "We'll let you live in the homes we took from you because we're great like that."

Why can't I play as the terrorist and fight for Helghan freedom from their oppressors?

The world just became less awesome.

I doubt EA would be foolish enough to make it a XboxOne exclusive, considering how much bad PR it's getting. Though they did make SimCity 5 online only, so I guess we'll just have to see how badly they want to piss gamers off.

As for the game it's self, hopefully they go with 'Origin's' style not 'Dragon Age 2's' style. They did state that the new engine would let them make a huge world so hopefully that means no more dungeon repeats.

The clash of the western RPG titans is about to happen though so far it looks like Witcher 3 is a strong contender it being very dark and complex with no clear good and evil. Versus DA's 'pretend' dark themes.

The end was some of the scariest shit I've seen in a long ass time.
