Hope they correct the pacing in the next Infamous. The second game was very solid and fun but the abysmal pacing bogged my enthusiasm and I almost didn't finish the game.
Loved KZ2. Still haven't played 3. However I was really impressed with the demo at the PS4 conference. I not only showed a glimpse of how beautiful the world will be but also the ridged, hefty (in a good way) gameplay we've to expect from a modern KZ. will definitely be picking it up.
Looking forward to this, The second Killzone was amazing especially the multiplayer (top 1% trophy!) but I skipped Killzone 3 so thankfully I can disregard that.
My problem with Killzone games is that the Helghast never get a campaign mode. I fell like the relationship between the ISA and Helghast is very similar to that of the Federation and Zeon in the Gundam series. In Gundam, Zeon may not be the "good guys" per se, but they have their own motivations and every once in a while they get a side story which helps to flesh out the universe. It makes it so you're not always telling a one-sided story, you get to see the war from a different perspective.
I think that giving the Helghasts a mini campaign, or atleast DLC that takes place within or around the events of the main campaign would do wonders for the series.
Looking forward to see what eles we can get in future titles that use all the ram...Im sensing pretty, dynamic and smart things
I would like to know what is going to make the game stand out in the FPS crowd other than the gorgeous graphics... But I'm likely to buy it regardless since it is a launch title.
Moronsoft's release of the Jaguar 2 or 4DO...ooops, excuse me the Xbox Gone..ooops..excuse me again seals Sony's 2014 first quarter financial report as a A PLUS BUY! The new Xbox should put Sony back in good financial health by the end of next year. This MORON Gamestop manager tried to defend that Beta Max lookin' entertainment cluster*uck the other day I was in there and I laughed in his face. I told him when did Moronsoft decide to design a reject laptop for your TV and forget that it was a f***ing gaming machine? They might have been able to save it with some kind of TV/cable service for the piece of sh*t but naaaa, they showed me a demo of the 15th Forza game...wooow..I still haven't opened 4 or that iconic flop Horizon! DO NOT ever push a car game as a lead into a new machine...Just ask Codemasters and look at there whopping sales! Not even Master Chief will save this bomb! I just hope when Moronsoft gets out of the console business in two years they put a Halo Legacy bundle on the PS3! Because that machine will still be around after the Xbox Gone leaves. Man, this dud just saved the Wii U's life!
Do I need to play the other Killzones to play Killzone Shadow Fall? I never played any of their games but I wanna buy Shadow Fall
I wonder if they'll show real gameplay at E3. The only thing that made me think is wasn't gameplay were the camara motions. Basically the same thing they showed on Jimmy Fallon.
Man,i really don't know what people see in this series. I tried killzone 3 on my friend's Ps3,couln'd even play 2 hours of it.
This game looks very good! I hope the multiplayer isnt like killzone 3 and more like killzone 2. Lets be honest. Killzone 3 multiplayer sucked. The interface to get into matches is terrible. BRING BACK GAME LOBBIES LIKE BF3!
While Killzone: Shadow Fall certainly looks good (Killzone 2 and 3 looked good, so no surprise there), I'm not into straight-up FPSs. I prefer FPSs that have RPG elements.
Don't worry about the story if Killzone. It's just not compelling. Play 2 and 3 for fun, or not at all, and you'll be fine to Shadowfall anyway. Plus, the new story is 30 years away, with that jump there won't be any important details.
@radio_active777 you should also know that the Helghast arent the bad guys.
@radio_active777 Looks like you won't have to play the other games. Just know there was a war between two factions (Helghast and ISA) and one side was almost wiped out (Helghast). Now you're caught up.
@knox140 GOOD COMMENT.
It kinda is. Or sometimes a pallid blue.
@sagejonathan I can't understand how the inFamous series could be anyone's favorite. This is literally unfathomable to me.
@sgt_F79 lol whose making these? really trying to fan this flames of this war, eh? (though they are class)
@Kryptonbornson Matey. Keep up. That was real gameplay you saw.
@Kryptonbornson That was real gameplay... they showed someone playing it at their press conference. And they brought it to the Tonight Show and let them play as well.
@AndreJr7 Yeah, I lost interest in it too. It's okay, it looks good, but it's just another shooter. I'm glad I got it out of my system though, because now I know most exclusives aren't worth buying a system for. That includes Uncharted and God of War. You can find similar stuff on other systems.
@Khrolin Not compared to PC games, no, but compared to the Xbox I would have to agree. Uncharted had insane graphics, and Killzone, while not colorful, was very detailed.
@jer_1 which every single one are on consoles too buddy
we are not in the 90- early 2000 buddy deal with it
games sales x3 more on consoles now back to your dota game thx
@SC-Genjisamurai yeah! kz3 feels like COD
@SavoyPrime Do those exist? Bioshock 1 I consider a Metroid style game. Borderlands has loot, but that's about it.
1) It was the first real action adventure I ever played.
2) I'm a big comic book fan.
3) The story is truly epic. The evil ending from infamous 2 makes it a fact.
4) I love the RPG elements and the fact that it's an open world game.
5) Great action.
@splinter10 Yeah, I watched it again. It's pretty clear. Maybe that was the skeptic in me at the time that denied it.
@haze_blaze Jimmy Fallon wasn't playing. He was just pretending.
Yes, you can find games like Killzone or Gran Turismo on any system... but Killzone 2's multiplayer was among the best out there and would be hard to match with any of the other shooters you may have played.
@Kryptonbornson uncharted is the most awarded third person shooter-adventure ps3 exclusive
god of war is for two generations now(ps2-ps3) the best hack n slash game also sony exclusive
gt the best racing simulator sony exclusive
u want me to continue why ppl buy sony consoles ?
go back to your pc kid
@Kryptonbornson Far Cry 3 is about it lol. Like you, I consider Bioshock to be more along the lines of an action-adventure game.
@Kryptonbornson they should have made Huxley, that was gonna be cool, rpg type of thing.
It's easy to find something comparable to Uncharted or God of War, since all those game built upon conventions of their genres. Not sure if quaility wise with Uncharted, but I've found funnier games in the same genre.
@haze_blaze Beyond: Two Souls I'll get or at least play. I'm skeptical of Last of Us as these are the same people that made Uncharted. Ni No Kuni is not my style and God of War is just a hack and slash. I'm not invested in Kratos's story like I said, so I won't miss him. RPGs? When it comes to RPGs I hate missing them when they are exclusives. I already have a PS3 and I'll keep it as a Bluray player, so the few exclusive JRPGs it does have I don't have to make that choice. I just won't be doing that in the future. One console is it for me and the Wii U might be a plus one for HD Zelda.
@Kryptonbornson You're missing big time by not playing Gears 3.It's by far the best multiplayer i've ever played.
@Albaficas @Kryptonbornson So because a game gets lots of awards, everyone should automatically like it? Justin Bieber has won 85 awards, I guess we all love him. *rolls eyes* Mainstream isn't always the best. I honestly enjoyed the new Tomb Raider far more than any Uncharted game.
GoW and GT are the best exclusives, and the latest entry on both of these did not meet expectations. Just my opinion of course.
@Albaficas I played Uncharted 3, after Gears I wouldn't play Uncharted for the shooting. Alot of other games do the adventuring well, including the new Tomb Raider, which also does the shooting better. As far as over-the-top action sequences Resident Evil 6 and many other games have beat Uncharted at it's own game.
If I buy Journey, I'll want the retail disc. I just refused to buy it digitally and I'm often too lazy to go to the store specifically to buy games.
Infamous? Might as well play Prototype, even though Infamous looks better, I didn't think it was as fun.
God of War? I'll take Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, or pretty much any hack and slash. I don't have the investment in Kratos to care specifically to own a system just for him. Other people have been playing God of War for two generations. First time I played God of War of PS2, I thought if felt like Prince of Persia.
I'm 33. Maybe I should preface everything that way. Been a console gamer since Atari, then NES. Only realized this gen that PC was a better value. I would have like to play Gears 3, but as far as I hear, I'm not missing anything. I'm actually disappointed I broke down and purchased a PS4. Maybe Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls will get me playing my PS3 again.
@Kryptonbornson Storylines are my favorite parts of any game, but I even surprised myself with FC3.
@SavoyPrime Yeah, Blood Dragon actually let me realize the gameplay was good. I never thought of myself as the type of gamer to ignore the story in games, but I might do that here just to play the game.
@Kryptonbornson The protagonist isn't that good and his friends make you want to leave them in danger lol. But the sheer amount of fun you have with the gameplay makes up for it. Vaas and Hoyt are good villains, but the story never opens up like it should so their characters can develop. A lot of wasted potential. I say get it on the cheap. It is worth it for the gameplay alone.
@SavoyPrime I think it could be a promising genre if they can get the mix right. Fallout 3 mixed with good shooter elements would be awesome. I haven't played the full Far Cry 3, just Blood Dragon. The intro to Far Cry 3 put me off from wanting to play it all the way through.
