Any updates on when the fix is expected?nightshade869
I'm pretty sure this thread is the last place you'd actually get an answer to that question.

[QUOTE="RogueShodown"][QUOTE="RyanM"]There is some poor soul out there who turned on his PS3 to play Heavy Rain, got this error, researched the error code...then turned on his 360 to play Mass Effect 2 and got the red ring of death. It happened somewhere...to someone tonight. That is the unluckiest person on earth. I thought not being able to play Heavy Rain was bad, but this is truly one of the saddest things I've heard. Why! Ryan

And then he had no choice but to play his Wii :(

Now that is just cruel.

[QUOTE="sephriem"][QUOTE="WordLife2411"]This might be helpful to some people, as it's what seems to be the problem. Posted on NeoGAF. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's what's going on right now: something with the PS3's internal clock has borked in some pre-slim models. This is not a PSN issue; it has to do with your PS3's clock. This clock is NOT related to the OS clock. It seems to be a leap year bug. Setting your clock ahead will do nothing. All PS3s around the world were affected at the exact same time. Does this affect me? -If you have a Slim PS3, you're good to go. Continue playing it as normal. -If you have a "fat" PS3, you may be affected. Some fat PS3s have worked ok, but it seems a good majority have been bugged. What does this bug mean? -If affected, your date and time has been set to a random past date. This prevents you from signing into PSN, playing any PSN games, or using any DLC. Your trophies will also not display correctly or be able to sync. How do I fix it? -You can't. Even if you don't sign into PSN, it won't help. This is a hardware issue. So, what do I do? -Wait 24 hours. Other products that have had similar bugs have corrected themselves after the "bugged" day. On Monday around 6pm central time, all PS3s will automatically correct themselves...maybe. -If that doesn't work, we'll need a firmware update from Sony, which should be a pretty important priority for them right now. Did I lose my data/themes/etc? Your save data/games/dlc/themes are fine. They'll be fixed when the PS3 is fixed. Trophies are uncertain right now, but they'll be fine if you've synced them before the PS3 was bugged. Unsynced trophies are an unknown right now. So there ya go, my handy FAQ.

as wishful as that sounds, if that was the only problem why would the psn site be down for sign in? people are worried about there cc details and cant change them from the ps3 or log onto it via playstation.com to remove them. it's still true in sayin gthat the servers running because sime slims are still online, we need someone with a working ps3 to see what's going on online if anything

Apparently, they said it was going down for maintenance today, which would explain that. Everything else seems to be true, since PS3's that are offline are affected as well; which definitely means it's a firmware / hardware issue. The fact that PS3 slims also seem to work fine, is another worrying sign that it's almost 99.9% the firmware / hardware.

I personally thinked the game sucked. I tried giving it a chance after downloading it (since I hated the demo), but it was just bad.. I don't understand how Undertow had such a good reputation to begin with.

*Signs* It really wasn't all that hard, it just takes abit more time to go through, since you really only need to just cover alot more.

[QUOTE="EnderSR388"][QUOTE="ghstbstr"][QUOTE="EnderSR388"]

Oookay Richie Rich. :roll:

My 32" LCD works just fine. I never died enough to need them to save my life, I just needed them to do their job and shoot people, which at most times they were incapable of. Also, have you ever fired a weapon before? The whole point is to be accurate, not spray the surrounding area. So no, that's not "realistic". lol Well unless you're laying down supressing fire, which I wasn't.

Oh and before we even get into this, I just noticed your fanboy badge for the game, so I'm done with you. :)

Juggernaut140

Guns are not as accurate in real life situations as most games make them to be.

Oh and it is not a fanboy thing, as it just means that I like the game. Okay.

Dude, I've fired many guns. Handguns, rifles, shotguns, semi-auto, full-auto. Their very accurate if you know what you're doing. And what I meant about the fanboy thing is that no matter what I say in disagreement about this game, you'll fight me on it. It's not productive for either of us.

Were you standing in a gun range or were you under fire in a warzone? :|

I wonder if he knows that taking more then one shot at a time activates a recoil, which then makes it very inaccurate after the first bullet, in most every gun (a Pistol is a good example of something which has recoil, but can be easily re-controlled, since you don't massively fire it). Anyway, aiming was perfectly fine, it was alittle slow, but turning sens. upto full fixed that for me.. I didn't have a problem killing anyone at all either, because I didn't spray bullets. I took my time, and made each shot I took accurate, and what-do-you-know, it seems to have worked perfectly fine.. I could even get dozens of headshots in-a-row.. in-fact, I actually got the Headshot achievement before The Club mission. As for the graphics, maybe your TV is just too big or something and is stretching out the image way too much. I have a 19' LCD HD-TV (Polaroid) and the game looks absolutely amazing on it, just as good as almost any other 360 game that I currently own.. and I own well over 40 360 games (and over 30 Arcade Games) - although it's not as great as Mass Effect looks. Speaking of-which, the covering system in this.. AT FIRST, is hard to get used to, and very annoying, but after you master it, you can do it absolutely anywhere without a problem. Comparing the cover system to other games (namely Mass Effect), and it's just as good, because Mass Effect is actually much more limited with their cover system. And the reason people are even saying anything back about what you said, is because you gave us crappy reasons. If you can list ten or more things, that aren't small or that can't be fixed with time or patience, then I don't think people would give you such a hard-time about stating your opinion.
