I guess if that's all you like it's the best system for new ones right now. I like good JRPGs but frankly everything we've seen this gen has been generic mediocre trash and I could care less about playing it. FFXIII is only one I see hope for.
That better come to the US store and soon. I hate how slow they've been to release the huge library of PS1 games. JRPGs are the best old games to get too.
Source Engine is extremely good and scales well. You can probably run Left 4 Dead on a 4 year old computer easily. Only difference will be PC rendering effects and texture quality. Makes a big quality difference but either should be fine.
