Starcraft is the best hands down. CnC is really overrated although Red Alerts were good. Supreme Commander with gameplay balance mods totally kicks ass. Total War series is also awesome. If it counts as RTS Hearts of Iron is awesome too.
RTS is just full of extremely good games that satisfies different tastes.
What's your point? I really don't give a damn how many copies a game sold when I'm playing it. Otherwise we'd all be playing 50Cent:Bulletproof. It's a shame that a mediocre game like Gears got such hype though.
Yeah most all games do that. Mass Effect is by far the most noticable. Gigantic difference between cutscene and gameplay.
It's really the best thing to do and not a bad thing at all. Just can't really count cutscenes as gameplay graphics like in the extreme case of Mass Effect. MGS4 is barely different though... I mean it zooms out directly into gameplay with no changes.
Yeah I really don't get it either. 4GB of good DDR2 is like $50 now. Should've had 512/512 in 360 and maybe 512XDR/1GB GDDR3 in PS3. Another problem is the low bandwidth of the systems.
I mean they can get around memory limitations but it is so cheap and makes it so much easier on developers. Plus look at 360 trying to run Supreme Commander. That games needs 4GB to run properly.
Depends on if it's an MMO. I actually hope it is but done in a completely different way than standard MMOs. I just don't see them making another Diablo in the same format as the originals.
Yeah the tech demo did look better than Crysis running on the best computer money could buy 2 years ago. Thing is 360 version will be far far worse looking and the PC version will likely be gimped because of it.
