check it out. what are your thoughts? I think it would be helpful if you knew which games were on the horizon and also it helps to see new footage but Consoles seem to overshadow PC at this event from what the article is saying.

Thats just because PC doesnt have a unified company behind it, so its up to the devs and publishers to try and get a stand in there.

But im pretty sure that we will be seeing quite a bit of Games For Windows as MS seems to love it.

As far as Sony is concerned, some of their high-budget games like Everquest and The Agency revolve around the PC market. I could care less about Nintendo's interaction with the PC, Nintendo knows how make games exclusively for their platforms and I hope they keep up with their work in the first-party forefront.

Didn't they attempt to force us with Halo 2? That game didn't even use dx10 did it? And It was dated by the time it came to the pc, as well as the fact, we generally didn't really care much about it as much as the xbox crowd.Kez1984

PC doesn't need E3 when it has many conferences that are devoted entirely to the PC.

Episode 3,Doom4 and Alan Wake are all being shown aswell as Starcraft 2 and Left 4 Dead.

The absence of PC games goes along with the absence of a lot of other things at the show. E3 drew 70,000 people a couple of years ago. But big companies balked at the costs and downsized the show to a gaming press event. Now with just a few thousand attendees, the show is much more focused. That leaves some nostalgic.

Separate from the issue of PC versus console games, a number of companies have pulled out of the Entertainment Software Association that sponsors the show, including Activision, LucasArts, Vivendi, id Software and Crave Entertainment. Some of the companies will either still be at the show or show off games nearby.

I see more an industry wide trend here, with PC developers (traditionally the smallest and least centralised) being the first to jump ship. It certainly doesn't represent a decline in PC gaming (which the article itself labours to confirm).

PC companies are hardly the first to jump ship from E3. Theres been a slew of companieswho have decided not to attend this year. Some big console companies were the first to jump

thats not entirely fair imho. MS used to be one of the great PC publishers and if we had that kind fo support form them then id be chuffed. if they made games exclusivesy for windows then id be behind them.

but MSs e3 presentation will probably have a cheap 15 mins at the end quoting some figures and showing some 3rd party stuff like kung fu panda at e3 and the rest will be 360 focused.

thats not good enough...in fact that outright pathetic. it would make nintendos e3 show last year look spectacular. if MS, sony or nintendo treated their consoles they way MS has treated games for windows....there would be nothing short of a civil war among the platforms supporters (on dinternet of course....though some might take to the streets...but they have other issues :P). seriously....sonys e3 at 06 is far better than MSs support as far as the PC is concerned.

think about it..an e3 with no games announced....no exclusives....could u imagine that happening on a console at e3?

if MS take PC gaming seriously then id be fully behind them (id certainly love a new freelancer). but this would mean exclusives....promotion across the board like the gears marketing campaign.....working with all other companies involved in PC gaming to inform users about PC gaming and what ti can do.

what there doing now is cheap lip service. they spent millions on games for windows marketing. they spent a billion on a warranty for the 360. there support for the PC is downright, completly and utterly pathetic accross the board. they have completly failed to argue why ppl should choose the PC as their gaming platform instead of a console. they have released 1 game (flight sim) as a PC exclusive in the last few years.

so yea....its support that would make sega look like business geniouses during the DC days. i cant think of another word for it but pathetic. i hope it changes mind but, as long as theres a conflict of interest between the PC and 360 inside MS, i dont see it happening.

Why wouldn't you goto a forum thats actually 100% for PC games and PC gaming if you want to have good conversations about PC gaming?
