You can't be serious. I know HL2 s a great game. But it wasn't the best looking game. Most realistic yes, but definately not graphically. Just, look. And yes, Conker runs in 720p on the xbox (it was one of the 3, i think, that did so)

Conker had good graphics, but it wasn't the best. Whatever evidence you're using to say that it looks better than Half-Life 2 is absolutely ludicrous. Half-Life 2 was the most graphically and technically advanced game last gen, and probably THE best game last gen as well.

Maybe technically (it does soft shadowing, volumetric lighting, etc.) but for pure asthetic quality, no. Why not just look at videos yourself.

Hell, even for today, Conker looks pretty damn good.

Far Cry, Doom 3, and Half Life 2 were better looking and more technically impressive. The Xbox version of Half Life 2, Doom 3, and Far Cry looked like crap compared to the PC versions. Don't kid yourself, you're basicly saying the Xbox was able to compete with a high end computer from 2004 which would have consisted of a 2.4 GHZ Athlon 64 or 3.0 GHZ P4 for the processor, 1-2 GB's of ram, and a Geforce 6800 GT or Radeon X800 pro. Compare that to the Xbox's 64 mb's of ram, a 700 mhz celeron processor, and a slightly re-worked Geforce 3...... :|
