No Hollywood insider seems to want to admit that people are just sick of stretching out franchises. This also happened with the Hobbit, though when you're still making hundreds of millions there's not much incentive to stop doing it. Star Wars seems set to be the next "we're-sick-of-it" franchise. We'll see how many movies it takes.

Bored. I remember when Tomb Raider was fun. Exploitative, but still fun. And unlimited handgun ammo. But these days, you just gotta make a dark joyless 3rd person cover shooter with stealth elements and a complicated crafting system. What, you want to do a backflip while also shooting a tiger in the face? Sorry, no, but if you spend a few hours killing deer you will be able to carry 3 more arrows. That's fun, right?

I still pick up Goldeneye (and Starfox 64) and play a few levels here and there. Starfox 64 will always be a lot of fun, I don't care who you are.

Nice. You should do an episode on whether or not you can heal horrific gunshot wounds by crouching behind cover for five seconds. I've always wanted to know...
