@ProgRocker Now you're thinking. Although for games of larger scale, a random generator would be necessary at some point (imagine being the designer that has to render each blade of grass in Elder Scrolls 10).
I think it gets fun when you consider the future of destructible environments or anatomically correct villains/mechs in a game like MGS: Revengeance. Better yet; a mech battle game where weight, mass and material were factored realistically and could be collected to be sold as scrap or to construct tools/weapons/good times. I would call such a game Megaman Legends 3. Boom. You're welcome, Capcom.
@ashyblood @Diablo-B Question: when did becoming a white knight begin being a bad thing? Why, I remember when climbing Mount Ordeals and facing your inner demon was an accomplishment. Besides, it also conferred upon you the healing magics and everyone knows, chicks totally dig healing magics.
@FiddleJohnny Maybe it's Maybelline. Charisma and journalistic presence ain't doin' her no harm either. She's doing great, even aside from being a gender minority in her field. Sidenote: I'm diggin' the clever tongue-'n-cheek facetiousness of these newer Gamespot vids.
@Crimson_Erskine @Korvus85 With movie reviews, I always read what a reviewer who I generally agree with writes and can still accept that there will be times that we disagree completely. That is the nature of media that is multifaceted. Shouldn't we expect the same with gaming media which is equally if not more complex and multifaceted? I don't know if standardizing scores is even possible given the multitude of opinions that exist (for example even on this one comment page).
I'm so glad my brain still functions (mostly) and I can decide for myself which games I want to play. The day that is no longer case, I will be mad at Tom McShea. Keep on fighting the good fight, Johnny.
