@Renunciation @Judecca7734 @digits52 @MAXAM999 @Axile11 The first PE was definitely more interesting even just considering the setting of NYC versus random desert-land of the sequel. Too much about it was pretty forgettable (although I still enjoyed it thoroughly).

I'm fairly certain a collaboration would never happen. Japanese companies typically run hierarchically and I don't see Square-Enix allowing someone from the outside to take such a critical role. Guess there's only one option left: become game developers and make games in homage to our favorites. :)

@Renunciation @digits52 @MAXAM999 @Axile11 What if Square-Enix partnered up with Ken Levine of Irrational Games to make Parasite Eve 4? Not to rag on Japanese developers but the ball of successful vg innovation has been in the US court for a few years now (imo). Would be cool to see more American developers working on dormant Japanese franchises to, at the very least, introduce a new perspective.

So in synopsis, I just wanna play a new Parasite Eve/Megaman Legends/Breath of Fire really really really bad.

@_Roo_ Haha, that's a creative solution but then you wouldn't be able to play either!

I propose a different approach. You must be above a certain blood alcohol percentage to be allowed to play. The rowdy drunks will tire themselves out and fall asleep, we mellow inebriated gentlemen and ladies will reign supreme and most kids won't be able to procure the booze to partake in the revelry. I know this is agist but it's the best alcohol based solution I can think of and the fire alternative is a bit dramatic for my taste.

@Lhomity @StealthHimself Buying games is, in a way, voting with your money. Maybe one of the difficulties with this medium is that you usually don't know what you've got until you've already invested.

@TommyT456 You bring up some interesting points. Is the measure of a person their reactions to the world around them or the way they carry themselves regardless?

Agreed that MS has not done very well in catering to their loyal customers. I have read that the used game policy might have increased game accessibility to the point that the cost of games would have been reduced to Steam game prices. Also read that ownership over games might be truncated such that you really only purchase a subscription to a game that is terminable at any time. Either way, there are way too many policies to keep track of. What happened to the make fun games, people buy them, be successful model?

@xeis-net @Judecca7734 That would be great! Although, that might only deter the youngins honest enough to use their true age and I have a feeling those weren't the trouble makers to start. MS and Sony should develop an advanced profanity screener that converts curse words to kinder alternatives. Ex: "You mo**** fu****!" might become "You matchless falcon!" Hilarity would ensue, fellowships would be forged, the last Metroid would be in captivity and the galaxy would be at peace.

The great internet dilemma: there will always be emotional, sensationalist gamers not yet mature or conscientious enough to channel their opinions into constructive criticism. Then there will be the Dan Amrich's of the net that try to equalize the situation by fighting fire by fire. If only there were a way to mob shame all of the trolls back under the bridge, but then, what will we have become? No disrespect for Dan; someone had to say what he did, that's possibly the saddest part.
